Tonight, one young woman will hear her name called, and her life will change in an instant. 👑

To every contestant, I’m praying you’ve enjoyed every second of this week. Whether you leave with the title or not, I hope you remember that your identity is found in Christ, and nothing that happens tonight can change that.

Being Miss Mississippi 2014 was one of the greatest honors of my life, and I’m so excited to see who will continue that legacy tonight.

Praying for peace, confidence, and joy over each of you as you take the stage one last time. Whether tonight brings a crown or a new direction, I pray you trust that God is writing your story with purpose, and His plans for your life are always good.

I can’t wait to celebrate and cheer on our next Miss Mississippi. ❤️

We are honored to announce that we were chosen by @100wwcstarkville as one of their grant recipients! 🎉

Aundrea Self, representing 100 Women Who Care, presented Starkville Area Habitat for Humanity with a grant check in support of affordable housing in Oktibbeha County.

How will this help?
These funds will be used to purchase building materials for Tyerria’s home, our next Habitat Partner. Starkville Habitat helps make affordable homeownership possible by providing no-interest mortgages to hard working people in Oktibbeha County.

🏡 Because of your generosity, Tyerria and her family can rest peacefully knowing that they have a safe place to call home.

💗 We are deeply grateful to @100wwcstarkville and @thecreatefoundation for seeing the impact of our mission, and we will continue to build better futures in Oktibbeha County thanks to them!

Happy Monday everybody! This morning we had the chance to hear from the Director of Outreach and Engagement, Mrs. Aundrea Self!

We wanted to thank you for taking some time out of your day to talk to us about what’s going on in the College of Business and the steps to success. We appreciate your insight and guidance, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to learn from you!

You simply cannot keep me away from Starkville! 🐾

I had the absolute best time at the 2026 DARE Conference presented by the Undergraduate Women in Business, and being back for a second year on the entrepreneurship panel made it even more special. UWiB holds such a dear place in my heart because I was a proud member in undergrad, so getting to pour back into that organization means everything to me.

The UWiB committee absolutely outdid themselves this year. They did not miss a single detail, made me feel so loved on and welcomed, and I am just so proud of each and every one of them. I cannot wait to keep up with them and watch everything they go on to do because they are going to be unstoppable.

I was in such amazing company on the panel alongside Nichole Ogburn, Liza Cirlot, and Karen Stanley, and the keynote delivered by Scherrie L. Prince set the tone for the entire day perfectly. She said it best: "I just feel at home in a room like this." Same, Scherrie. Same.

Getting to see Jackie Mullen and Aundrea Self was just the cherry on top of an already incredible day.

I am so grateful to have been asked back for a second year and so proud of everything being built in the College of Business. They are leaning into their greatness in the most beautiful way, and I cannot wait to see everything they do next year.

Supporting the next generation of women in business is something we will always show up for. 🔥

Starkville native, Aundrea Self, has worked in the broadcasting industry her entire career. After 26 years of working at WCBI TV in Columbus, Self accepted a job here at MSU. She loves telling her students stories in class and playing her hype song in class for them!
