Coming up for air after a busy period. All positive things, just not a lot of time for personal work. Managed to catch a few frames on the Fujifilm, honestly this camera has helped me take so many photos I’d have missed.

This is how we make our Lou Sailor Hat.

I wanted to make something somewhere between a traditional sailor hat and a fisherman's beanie, with a little nib on top.

It's knitted from lambswool here in our Stockport studio, then shaped, joined and hand finished in-house and felted for the perfect structured shape.

The name comes from our friend, fellow business owner and style inspiration, Emily from @auntielouscafe

And that's how the Lou comes together.

The Lou Sailor Hat is clearly a strong favourite of yours — it sold out within two hours of the shop reopening.

Made from gorgeous felted lambswool, its shape takes inspiration from traditional fisherman's beanies and the brim of a sailor hat.

Everyone seems to comment on how good the shape is, and we have to agree.
