Matty loved his grandpa more than anything. A former nuclear physicist, with a brain the size of Wyoming and an endless thirst for adventure. That's why his heart broke when they put gramps in a home.

"Honey, your grandfather loves you very much," said his mum. "But he's sick... He can't be around you anymore."

Matty stewed in that for weeks. Could barely get to sleep, knowing the old man was cooped up in that prison. He knew his grandpa. He knew he wasn't sick.

That's why he snuck into the home one night. Distracted security with a well placed stink bomb, creating just enough of a window to get the old man outta there.

Grandpa knew his way around the streets. Picked the lock of a Toyota Prius and hotwired it to submission, racing silently to the end of the street, the end of the highway, as the moon lit up the night sky.

The car entered a slatted uneven terrain which forced it to bounce in a hydrolic frenzy. That's when the old man took his foot off the gas, and the car stopped.

A sound in the distance. Choo choo.

"Grandpa, where are we?"

"You want to go on an adventure, Matty? Just like old times?"

Choo Choo.

"Yeah," the kid said. "But this doesn't look like a road."

"A road?" He asked. Choo choo. "Where we're going, we don't need roads."
