The silence here is heavy. A brutal, necessary reminder that those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. Everyone should stand here at least once

✨ It’s hard to believe it’s been almost a year since The Doctor of Auschwitz was published.

The support from this incredible community here on social media, as well as through Goodreads and Amazon reviews has been truly remarkable. ❤️ I honestly didn’t know what to expect when I began writing this novel. It was one of the biggest undertakings of my career, tackling a difficult but profoundly important true story. It was a book that needed to be written.

In a place where medicine was used to harm, she vowed to heal.

🇫🇷 Occupied France, 1942: Psychiatrist Dr. Adélaïde Hautval is arrested for defending a Jewish family. When she is deported to Auschwitz and assigned to the women’s infirmary, she is ordered to assist with sterilization experiments under SS doctors including the infamous Josef Mengele. As the line between healing and harm blurs, Adélaïde makes a choice that could cost her everything.

⚖️ London, 1964: More than twenty years later, one of the Nazi doctors is on trial and Adélaïde is the key to exposing the truth.

Based on the remarkable true story of one of the bravest women of the Holocaust, The Doctor of Auschwitz is a novel about choosing humanity over survival and finding the courage to stand for what is right.

🎧 And if you haven’t experienced the audiobook yet, I’m thrilled that it is brought to life by the extraordinarily talented Alice Sockett, whose heartfelt narration captures Adélaïde’s courage and compassion so beautifully.❤️📚

❓ QOTD: What’s a book you’ve read that has stayed with you long after you turned the final page?
