1961: Adi and Käthe Dassler formed a strategic partnership with the Humphreys brothers (owners of Umbro). The deal was based on a "judicious arrangement" of non-competing products:
☘️ Adidas: At the time, they sold only boots.
♦️ Umbro: At the time, they sold only clothing.

🤝 The Distribution: Umbro became the distributor for Adidas in the UK. Dasslers believed this would allow the three stripes to quickly gain ground in England.

👤 Key Figure: Jim Terris known as the "Umbro man in English football," was the primary "door-opener" who used Umbro's existing relationships to impose Adidas boots on English pitches.

Adidas and Umbro operated as a single unit in the UK and several Commonwealth territories.

With this deal Adidas had prepared the death of Umbro ... but that's another story.

I am honored to bring to you the Socceroos, #12: Australia 🇦🇺 @footballaus

I kinda like my design here, see if you can notice my subtle reference heh..

Of course I had to use aboriginal patterns, and I think it turned out really sick! Other than that, the circle around the shirt number also references the kit on that historic night in 2004 against Uruguay! I also included the southern cross on the back as a lil touch.
