Been thinking a lot about what I can do as an artist and producer (especially as one that makes art predominantly born of black culture) to give back or to utilize my skills in a positive way. Saw a friend repost this and I think it’s a pretty cool idea, so here we go.
Go donate $50 to the organization in my bio, (or any other similar org fighting injustice) and I’ll send you a beat.
Fuck it, let’s go all in.
Donate $25 - I’ll master a track for you
Donate $50 - free beat
Donate $150 - free beat, and mix/master
Donate $300 or more - free beat, recording session, Mix, and Master
To all my musician/producer/engineer/studio owner counterparts:
Solidarity is not enough.
We can do more. We can create change using the skills we have. Use your studios for good, use them to uphold and support people, to create opportunities for our communities to be heard. We have the means to amplify voices, let’s do it.
Share this, and frankly jump on board if you have the means (I know all you producers out there have folders on folders of unfinished beats just sitting and waiting)
