🥰 SEPTEMBER WRAPUP 🥰

Happy Thursday and happy October! 🫶🏻
This was the slowest month of reading I’ve had ever, and still very much in a slump! 😢
So if anyone has any reccs they’d be very much appreciated! 🥹

Some highlights of my month were:
- Finalising my new bookshelves! Still very much obsessed
- Seeing my brother play finals footy (locally!)
- Getting to create such a sentimental birthday surprise vid for my witchy gal @sophiabee.darkreads 🥹 (vid is below 👇)
- The very first Secrets in the Pages in Bendigo! What a beautiful day this was 🥰
- NHL is backkkk!! Got a chance to watch my New Jersey Devils play some of their preseason games, and now onto the regular season! ❤️🖤🤍
- To cap the month off, catching up with my Shelf Care gals and seeing Practical Magic 2 together! ✨

Here’s what I read in September and what I rated them!
- Revolve by @authorbalkhabra - 4 ⭐️
- Colt by @jessicapauthor (Bookies BOTM) - 4 ⭐️
- How to Catch a Killer, And Date His Best Friend by @sheridan.anne.author (ARC) - 4 ⭐️
- Tempted by the Queen by @author.samantha.barrett - 4 ⭐️

Some people are born into war. I was born into the lie that started one.
A year locked away. A family built on corruption. A brother who let me take the fall.
I came back to Stormsend for one reason.
Destruction.
Xaden Devlin wants me dead. He has every reason, every opportunity and zero hesitation.
So why am I still breathing?
That question has one answer and it terrifies me more than his hands around my throat ever could.
Because somewhere between the threats, the darkness and the secrets neither of us can outrun…
He chose me.
And now we are standing on opposite sides of a war that will destroy us both, carrying a secret that changes everything, surrounded by enemies wearing the faces of people we once trusted.
One of us won't survive this.
I'm starting to think it might be me.
“Half of what you hear… All of what you see… Watch carefully, Tink.”

PUCKING WITH THE ENEMY Devlin Mafia, Book Two
The enemy you love is always the most dangerous one.

Say his name loud enough, and he might hear it.
No one dares speak his name, for fear he’ll come for them.
My brother ruined his life, and now he plans to return the favor. For months, I've been living in a cage, dreading the moment he finds me. When he does, it’s like a ghost materializing. I’m taken, trapped at his side, never knowing when my end will come.
The Denver Kings control everything, and with war on the horizon, I can only pray it distracts him long enough to keep him out of my bed.
I hate him. I hate everything he stands for. But I can’t deny it—this tattooed Aztec god is impossible to ignore.
I thought my brother was the only person who cared about me. Turns out, the only one who does is the monster I’ve been running from.
His name is Alexander Denver. But everyone knows him as The Butcher—and now, I’m his prey
