)’(🔥 Burning Man 2K16

Unreal that it’s been ten years since journeying home to the dust for the first time. T’was the year of our Lordt 2016. My numerological year of 9️⃣. The start of Saturn’s Return🪐 Post quitting my desk job and gogo-ing at the clerb every weekend. Living a double life and allowing it all to crash and converge and reshape itself. Camp Catification. A renaissance in the dust. New friends. New perspectives. New ways of being. Art. Immediacy. Music. All nighters. Ceremony. Tears in the Temple. Flames. Dust in every crevice of my soul. Radical self reliance. Deep human connection. The magical and bumpy bike ride out to deep playa to this song. Tajin. The way daytime dust turns over to midnight mayhem and lights. Synchronicity. Sacrifice. Picklebacks. 111222333444. Grief. Love. Loss. Gain. Sunrise sets. Disco porta potties. Bikers Butt. Leave no trace. Imagination. Civic responsibility. The desire to bring lessons back to the default and integrate. Decompression.
Words continue to fall out but fall short of encapsulating the experience of each micro and macro moment, but here’s to reminiscing and appreciating✨
Forever the biggest thanks to Mamma Chel & Papì Fritas for helping facilitate my very first voyage and curating such a wonderful krew of kittens.😻
Sending all my love to those back )’(ome this week and some extra to the ones that made my virgin burn the best.😭

P.S. I don’t usually yell on here buttttt - if you are at the Burn right now - GET OFF YOUR FUCKING PHONE AND LIVE✌️💗

Last post about LIB because this is all the moments that were captured. Surprisingly I had my phone out the most, which is rare. My ass was out all week, the hugs were given freely and happily. It’s crazy how almost two years after a festival, you feel the way you feel. Detached, a cog in the capitalist machine, burnt out, depressed from the noise. Tapping back in always feels like a shot of adrenaline to the heart. I cry when I think about it because it’s just so goddamn beautiful. Iykyk.

Sobbing because of the life I’ve chosen and been gifted. Little me had no idea what was in store for me. A sad little boy who fought to create his own way. Holding myself through the hard times has landed me in the best of times. There’s many things I can think of that I wonder what it would be if were different but then I’m reminded that everything is exactly the way it’s supposed to be. Celebrate what you have, no matter how hard, small, big, easy. I’m so grateful for the many moments shared this weekend. Life brought me so many friends to say hello, so many good dance nights shared with lovers of many years and hugs to hold the tears shed. Colty was clocked in and I was reminded that I am mommy, friend, lover, festi daddy, a fat ass, a lover, a good friend, the best older brother, someone who tries, someone who doesn’t want to give up, someone who chases those moments and one who is fearless and accepting of what life wants to give me. Thank you friends, lovers, dance partners for making this weekend so magical. I am love. I cry in thanks for what mother above has done for me and I will cherish it for life until i join the stars above me. LIB 4EVER
