I almost let the day slip by, but I refused to let Juneteenth end without sharing this. 💜✊🏾

Today is about freedom, and freedom has always been fought for. Our ancestors fought for it in chains. And in our community, the fight didn’t end there. People are still fighting for freedom every single day, whether that’s fighting for a seizure free life, fighting to bring awareness and education, fighting to change laws that fail us, or simply being living proof that you can thrive with epilepsy.

That’s what this carousel is. A celebration of freedom fighters and epilepsy warriors. From Harriet Tubman to Natalie Beavers and more, the advocates and trailblazers carrying this work forward right now. Black and brown people are diagnosed with epilepsy more often, yet too often get less access and less support. Those gaps weren’t an accident, and that means they can be undone. By us.

So read it. Save it. Send it to someone who needs to feel seen today. Your story matters, your voice matters, and you are not alone in this. We rise together, and we keep rising. 💜

I’m excited to officially share that I’ll be joining the Together We Create 4 Kids National Tour this year.

The Together We Create 4 Kids Tour is a national literacy and community impact movement bringing children’s book authors, speakers, educators, creatives, and businesses together across multiple cities to uplift families and give back to children.

Each stop includes a 2-day experience featuring a conference and a community giveback, all centered on supporting children, literacy, and authors.

I’ll be participating in two cities:

📍 Tampa, FL — Featured Vendor (June 6th-7th)
📍 Milwaukee, WI — Featured Speaker (September 26th)

A huge thank you to the founders of Together We Create 4 Kids for creating such a powerful mission and creative opportunity, and for allowing me to be a part of it.
