what we see vs. what we wrote 🔥 HISTORIAS ENCANTADAS is a Latine folklore anthology giving the folklore, legends, and myths we grew up with a darker, romantic twist. 🥀 Perfect for those who love 🖤 Forced Proximity 🥀 Gothic Romance 🖤 Secrets & Spirits 🥀 Forbidden Desires 🖤 Dark Fantasy Retellings 🥀 And plot twists you never saw coming… Featuring never before seen tales by: @authorximenadln @inezocon_author @author_lexilane @jacquelynmarquezbooks @littlestoriesbigimpacts @rociocarranzawrites HISTORIAS ENCANTADAS releases OCT 27th and is available for KU and hardcover preorders now! 🥳🖤 Check out the link in our bios for more info 🫶🏽 #bookrecs #darkromance #fantasybooks #gothicromance #booksta SOULS by Rocio Carranza brings the legend of El Charro Negro and a (rather odd) woman who may know more than she leads on into a war-torn 1800s Veracruz. 🔮 Blurb: “The haunting of El Charro Negro meets his match” In 1800s Mexico, El Charro Negro haunts the lonely paths between villages, promising wishes in exchange for souls. As the people slowly disappear the desperate villagers select one — rather odd — woman to make a deal with the demon. 👀 ALTAR by Ximena De La Noche follows an archaeologist who unexpectedly meets a sun god with a dark desire for her.🔥 DROWNED by Jacquelyn Marquez is based on the legend of La Llorona with a siren twist in which a woman must reckon with the life she once knew and the love of a man she yearns for. 🧜🏽‍♀️ LA FIERA by Inez Ocon is a modern adaptation of La Chupacabra with a sapphic billionaire romance and secrets that could destroy an empire. 🖤 DEUDA by Stephanie Jurado follows a mortician’s daughter who sells her soul to save her family, but when the debt comes due someone unexpected comes knocking. 🌙 NIGHT WATCHER by Lexi Lane is a dark, unsettling retelling of Cucuy about a woman who gets entangled with a mysterious man who will be her ruin. 🥀 HISTORIAS ENCANTADAS is out October 27th on KU and wherever you get your hardcover books! 📚🔥
