@autismstrongfoundation and @buildstrongclt proved it. A whole community came out, and these kids paid it back in smiles I couldn’t have staged if I tried.

You think you’re the one giving. Then you leave with more than you brought.

Sometimes, the most meaningful moments are the ones you don’t plan.

At BuildStrong, one of our BTs, Destiny, shared that she was hoping she might see a former client she had worked with. Their time together had ended when his family’s schedule changed and he transitioned into preschool, but the connection they built clearly stayed with her.

Destiny had just left the festival when we realized something special—her former client had arrived.

So, of course, we called her.

Without hesitation, Destiny turned around and drove back just to see him. The two picked up right where they left off, spending time together, playing, exploring the festival, and enjoying all the fun around them. 🛝

It was such a beautiful reminder that the relationships built through this work can extend far beyond a schedule, a session, or a season of care.

For our team, these moments are what make community events like BuildStrong so meaningful: reconnecting with families, celebrating the people we’ve had the privilege of knowing, and seeing the genuine care our team carries with them wherever they go.

Destiny, thank you for showing what it means to lead with heart. 💜

We had SO much fun at BuildStrong this past weekend! 💙✨

We were so excited to get out into the community, support such an amazing cause, and spend the day connecting with so many incredible families, providers, and other professionals who share the same passion for supporting the autism community. 🫶

Our team had the BEST time meeting everyone who stopped by the Abacus tent and of course helping the sweet kiddos make lots and lots of sensory jars!

Days like this are such a good reminder of why we love what we do 💙 We’re so grateful to be part of a community filled with people who care so deeply about making a difference!

Being part of this community is truly amazing. Each year, seeing families, friends, partners, volunteers, and supporters come together is such a meaningful reminder of how much connection, inclusion, and support matter.

I’m thankful to be a small part of something that means so much to so many people.

BuildStrong is about building stronger support, stronger community, and stronger hope for families touched by autism—and today was a beautiful reminder of that.
