🏡 Marin YIMBY endorses Ava Fruin, David Bell, and Eli Beckman for Corte Madera Town Council!

Corte Madera needs local leaders who recognize the importance of building more homes and creating a more affordable, inclusive community.

We’re proud to endorse Ava Fruin, David Bell, and Eli Beckman in this year’s Town Council race. Each brings a vision for Corte Madera’s future, and we look forward to working with local leaders to advance housing solutions that serve residents at every stage of life.

Building a more affordable Marin starts with local action—and we’re excited to support candidates who will help shape that future in Corte Madera.

Honored to have earned the endorsement of the Marin Independent Journal editorial board for Corte Madera Town Council! 🤍

In its endorsement, the IJ highlighted my experience as an elected school board trustee and my connection to the community as a parent raising three kids here.

The editorial board wrote:

“At this junction, the council needs that experience and her connection with the town’s younger households.”

That means a great deal to me. Serving on the school board has taught me so much about the responsibility of local governance: listening carefully, asking hard questions, understanding budgets and tradeoffs, and making thoughtful decisions on behalf of the community.

I’m running for Town Council because I believe that experience, along with a deep personal investment in Corte Madera’s future, is something meaningful I can bring to the Council.

Thank you to the Marin IJ editorial board for this vote of confidence!

Ballots are arriving now, and I’d be honored to earn your vote on November 3 🗳️🤍

There’s something pretty special about walking into your local bookstore to pick up a copy of your local newspaper because your name is in it…with an endorsement of your campaign for local government 🥹🤍

I’m incredibly honored to have earned the endorsement of the Marin Independent Journal editorial board for Corte Madera Town Council.

The editorial recognizes my experience as an elected school board trustee and my connection to this community as a parent raising three kids here. Those are two things that mean a great deal to me, and it’s especially meaningful to have them recognized as strengths I would bring to the Council.

With ballots arriving and just three weeks until Election Day, I’m feeling grateful, energized, and ready for the home stretch!

Thank you to the Marin IJ editorial board for this vote of confidence, and to everyone who has supported this campaign along the way 🤍

Thank you to @avaforcortemadera for your endorsement for my campaign for Larkspur City Council. Our school district serves about 1,200 kids and ranks in the top 10% statewide for student achievement. Education is the basis for so much in our society and as the Larkspur Rec’ing Crew founder, I believe every child deserves to have access to recreational education and play. #larkspur #schoolsrock #campaign

The sweetest way to celebrate the reopening of Menke Park 🍦🌳🤍

Such a fun afternoon celebrating this beloved Corte Madera landmark with an ice cream social, live music, neighbors, community organizations, and lots of sunshine.

Our parks and public spaces @cortemaderaparksandrec are such an important part of what makes Corte Madera so special. It was wonderful to see Menke Park full of people again and to celebrate all the work that went into giving this beloved community gathering place some new life.

Many thanks to the Corte Madera Community Foundation, whose support helped make the Menke Park improvements possible, and the @cortemaderachamber for bringing the celebration together. I also loved getting to connect with our local Neighborhood Response Groups, who were there sharing resources and helping neighbors stay connected and prepared.

Obviously I went for the chocolate with rainbow sprinkles 🍦🌈✨

What a couple of nights! 🤍

After months of questionnaires, scheduling, spreadsheets, emails, and preparation, we officially wrapped up MWPAC’s 2026 Endorsement Nights this week!

I’m so grateful for the opportunity to help lead this process alongside an incredible group of women. Over two nights, we heard from candidates running for offices across Marin, asked some tough questions, had thoughtful conversations, and gave MWPAC members the opportunity to hear directly from candidates before casting their votes.

I love this work because I believe deeply in encouraging women to step into leadership, supporting them when they do, and making sure women’s voices and experiences are represented at every level of government.

So grateful for every candidate who put themselves out there and participated in this process, for the MWPAC members who showed up, listened, asked questions, and voted, and especially for this crew who put so much work into making these two nights happen. 🤍

Now maybe we can all get some sleep. 😂
