We are speechless - thank you very much, from the bottom of our hearts. On Sunday we held our last Open Dance Class fundraiser at @elite.dance.cork, combining our efforts to help someone very special: @avatarguille, who firmly believes that enjoying dance in community should be an easily accessible and freeing experience that anyone willing and able to move should benefit from.❤️ Honouring that giving sense of togetherness, I have been organising a series of Open Dance Classes to raise funds for him and help him cover his ongoing medical costs and expenses post surgery - which also experienced more financial pressure after having to support family and everyone in Venezuela after the earthquakes. These classes motivate donations while supporting a beautiful exchange in an environment where everyone can thrive, learn, contribute and celebrate. Last Sunday, we raised a total of €933 dancing together. For clarity, that’s the total raised without charging any instructor fees, studio hire or class attendance fee. Everyone donated whatever they wanted, including myself. Thank you @avahennyy, for letting me go ahead with the initiative in the studio, and @paxsea, for joining me and embracing the occasion with nothing but love and support for the craft and the people involved. Thank you everyone, Andrew, Inam, Dante, Jess, Michelle, Ada, Caoimhe, and those who couldn’t join eventually due to unforeseen circumstances but were still willing to support: Mary, Ellen, Freya, Spice and everyone that supported in any way. All proceeds are being directly donated to Guille to avoid GoFundMe waiting times and the platform’s costly management fees. 🫂 Guille was recently diagnosed with a kind of osteoarthritis that has been affecting his herniated discs, causing both spinal bulging and numbness. He had to very quickly undergo a non-invasive procedure in Jakarta which was very costly but seems to be one of the most effective treatments to improve his condition. While he heals, he cannot earn a living doing what he has always been so passionately sharing with the world. Ayudemos a Guille con la mejor medicina: bailando ❤️ #opendanceclass #fundraiser #dancer #dance #danceclass

He had to very quickly undergo a non-invasive procedure in Jakarta which was very costly but seems to be one of the most effective treatments to improve his condition. He is currently healing and not able to earn a living doing what he has always been so passionately sharing with the world. These classes will motivate donations while supporting a beautiful exchange in an environment where everyone can thrive, learn, contribute and celebrate. All proceeds will be directly donated to Guille to avoid GoFundMe waiting times and the platform’s costly management fees. 🫂 This second Open Dance Class will be co-facilitated and instructed at @elite.dance.cork on Sunday 28 (starting at 20:15), by @paxsea and myself. We will teach a variety of disciplines in the studio which feature specialties not often included in the regular schedule: a great opportunity to join and learn something new! The session will include a taste of: Lollipop 🍭 Chains ⛓️ Pole 🎠 Vogue 🫷 Twerk 🍑 Chair 🪑 Floorwork 🐾 Let’s enjoy something special in community and give back to someone so special that has always been giving the world so much love and passion! To join, simply donate whatever you want and can afford, via link, which is available via Stories, the relevant Highlight and Bio. Cash accepted (DM first to book). Thank you everyone and special thanks to @avahennyy and @paxsea for helping me organise this. 🫂❤️ Ayudemos a Guille con la mejor medicina: bailando 🐾❤️ #dance #fundraiser #dancer
