British Junior Nationals Championships 2026.

So far, in my Powerlifting Career, I did not expect to make it this far in such a short time as I have only been competitively Powerlifting for just over half a year now and have now ended up being the 5th strongest u74kg Junior in recent times within Great Britain. Despite my relatively short prep time, I think I did ok but there is always room for improvement.

First, I would like to thank @gbpowerfed and @british.juniors.2026 for organising a smooth competition and for making it rather enjoyable to compete in and the many compliments from the commentators about my moustache, I appreciate that. I would also like the thank the spotting and loading team like @bigtomos and @440coaching for keeping myself and the others safe throughout the competition.

Furthermore, I would like to thank @whitelightsmedia.uk
For the videography and photography, you managed to get my good side

I also wish to graciously thank my beloved coach named @willhughes_pl of @avalanchepowerlifting for helping me to get so far into my career despite my inexperience in this sport and for everything on the day itself.

Additionally, I thank my family and friends like many of those within @welsh_powerlifting for the support they have shown.

Adding to this, it has been a pleasure to compete with other talented individuals like @jvrlifts @ping_hao_ng_2 @euancurran_ . Congratulations, and I wish you all the best.

Finally, I thank the most high Jesus Christ along with the Blessed Virgin Mary and my patron saint, Hyacinth of Poland for always being with me.

Junior nationals 2026 🇬🇧

This will go down in the bad comps books but it was such a fun experience nonetheless. 7/9 day with 110 (+2.5) squat, 65 (=) bench, and 130 (=) deadlift. 305 (+2.5) total @ 55.6 bw. I can grind a lift but I can’t lock anything out 😛.

You know who you are, you guys made the experience so lovely. Too many names to mention or I’d end up with an essay here 🫶. Of course, @willhughes_pl thanks for the coaching and handling. Over the next blocks, I swear I’ll sleep for more than 5 hours every night, stop skipping day 4s, and not travel across the world for weeks at a time.

Really good day today, had a lot of fun lifting with everyone.

Despite prep being quite challenging due to few injuries and externals, managed to pull through and compete.

Thank you to @maxrh.lifts for handling me, my rival, need to compete together again soon🫶🏽

Welsh Champs 26 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

617.5kg Total 7/9 (+20kg) 🥈

Squat:
225 ✅
242.5✅
250🥇

Bench:
130✅
137.5✅
145❌

Deadlift:
210✅
230✅
250❌ (For the Win)

Definitely kilos left on Squat
Bench should have been there
Could have made that last pull a lot easier if kilos were added on the first two but 250 wasn’t quite there.

Considering I had a pull for the win after there being a chance 2 weeks ago that I wouldn’t be competing and then missing a week of a bad prep is a positive.

Shoutout @willhughes_pl for all the coaching and support these past two years 🐐

Thankyou @meghans_2 for handling and keeping me in check during a long day.

Appreciate all my family & friends who came out to support and cheer me on

Congratulations @jjoy_lifts on the win was a fun battle.

Onto the next, that squat record will be broke🚨
