🇬🇧 ANCIENT DANCER 1 — Alexandru Valentin Duta | 1st Place · Exhibition Room 1 · Conceptual & Fine Art.

A luminous body suspended in darkness: in Ancient Dancer 1, underwater photography takes on an almost cosmic dimension. The jellyfish, positioned to the left, anchors the composition, while its tentacles guide the eye across the negative space. Black and white brings out the translucent textures; fine lines and soft folds create a rhythm that makes stillness feel like movement. The author connects this vision to night dives, when a torch isolates the creature and suspended particles resemble distant stars. His adjustments to contrast and whites emphasise its delicate structure without sacrificing its ethereal presence. Part of the ongoing Ancient Dancer series, this photograph turns observation into a meditation on fragility and time. Its strength lies in making a real encounter feel otherworldly.

🇮🇹 ANCIENT DANCER 1 — Alexandru Valentin Duta | 1º classificato · Exhibition Room 1 · Conceptual & Fine Art.

#MilanoPhotoAwards #TheStreetSoup #FineArtPhotography #ConceptualPhotography #UnderwaterPhotography
