Meet your 2026–2027 RA Team!

We’re so excited for another year of late-night conversations, apartment hangouts, random adventures, and getting to know each of you. Whether you need someone to talk to, a place to hang out, or just a friendly face around the apartments, we’re here for you! We can’t wait to see what this year holds and are so thankful we get to do it with you. Be sure to read each team member’s bio to learn a little bit more about those who are here to serve you! 🤍

Meet Emily Leininger! This is her 6th year serving as your Aldersgate RD, and LOVES getting to pour into the next generation and encourage growth rooted in Christ! She loves to be active and enjoy creation whether it’s running, playing pickleball, or hiking, and she will typically be spending her time with her husband, Moses, and their sweet pup, Memphis. Don’t be shy, say hi when you see her out and about on campus, she would love to know you!

Meet Abby Stephenson! This is her 2nd year serving as your Aldersgate ARD. She is an Equine Science major who loves pouring into her neighbors and hopes to create a community where residents leave with a new understanding of what it means to truly be a neighbor—to see others, love well, and care for those around them.

Abby is a Colorado native and misses the altitude and mountains with a passion! When she’s not serving her residents, you can find her cheering on the Colorado Avalanche, taking photos, or stopping to admire just about any flower she comes across. She is so excited for another year of community, connection, and making Aldersgate feel a little more like home!

Meet Riley Hammond! This is Riley’s second year serving as the Kenyon House Coordinator and appreciates the opportunity that the role provides for her to uplift her residents. She graduated from Asbury in 2025 with the Ignited class, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work with a minor in Christian Ministries. When not leading women at Kenyon, you can find her serving with the Greenhouse Ministry program at First Alliance Church in Lexington or at the local non-profit, Step-By-Step. Riley loves to spend time outdoors with friends on a long walk, likely admiring a sun

The hardest part of internships is when they end. When I tell you my 8 year old was an absolute mess this morning… the girl was heartbroken for this goodbye. 😭💔 She told me yesterday after talking this picture that the hard part is that they become like her family. Couldn’t have worded it better myself. 🥹 The good outweighs the hard by far though. Excited to see where God leads you @averyannas_!! You will always have a place at our table. @intern_academy @mcchog_students

I am so grateful for the opportunity I had to intern at my home church over the past year. I’m incredibly thankful for every person who has invested in me, encouraged me, prayed for me, and poured into my life along the way.

The Lord has opened so many doors for me, and I’m amazed by His faithfulness. Looking back, I can clearly see His hand guiding every step. As I step into this next chapter, I’m excited to see where He continues to lead. Thank you, Monroe City Church of God, for being such a big part of my story.

When you are actively investing in this generation, it’s so fun to watch them invest in the next generation of leaders… and that next generation might just be your own kids. 😍😍

and with that, freshman season comes to a close!

Wow. What a season it has been. From making friends with the water on day one to conference this past week in TX, my freshman season has truly been a blessing. Lessons learned: start taking Vitamin C as soon as you get back from Christmas so you don’t get sick at conference, don’t get a malibu tint spray tan, Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue is a banger (prior knowledge), and lean in to your team!! Thank you to my teammates and coaches, they’re the best, and I’m so grateful that God has placed me here with them. Sophomore season, bring it! #goeagles #keepitsilly #learningvoyagecomplete 💜🦅

Thank you swim💜

Little me would not know what to think if she knew fourteen years later, I finally finished my swimming career. These past four years specifically have changed my life and helped me find my child-like joy for this sport again. Through all of the highs and all of the lows that occurred during my time at Asbury, I am so glad it happened with these people around me. Relationships that will be close to me for the rest of my life. I guess all that’s left to say is that I’m officially a “swammer”. #meemawretired
