1. Nahom Ghirmay @nahom_artsy with Avery Barnes Gallery @averybarnesgallery
2. Sigrid Qian @sigridutopia with Blue Green Galleria @bluegreengalleria_fineartsinc
3. Ye Wenlong @yewenlongphoto at Blue Green Galleria
4. Emily Counts @emilyraecounts with Studio e @studioegallery (don’t mind the image - the lovely gallery staff was just getting it out to display it and I loved it so much I had to grab a pic then and there!!)
5. Erin Milez @erinmilez with Studio e
6. Chloe King @kinggtingg with ARTXIV @artxiv
7. Rachel Warkentin @rachwark with Antler Gallery (this one includes ceramic on canvas which I LOVE and it was priced under £1000! So perfect for a NEW COLLECTOR🚀✨💥)

And special mention Samantha Yun Wall @samanthawall at Assembly @assemblyfair with Russo Lee Gallery @russoleegallery - this is the ONE work I would have bought in a heartbeat if it would have been available !!!! She is an absolute rising star. 🌟🌟🌟

*some of the works shown (the bigger ones for example) may be priced above $10k but there are works available by the artists that are within that price point that are mid-sized or smaller works 🙌🫶

This past weekend, we opened the doors of Avery Barnes Gallery’s new home — an intimate, loft-style space built with intention, for the community who have made this work possible.

The evening was quiet by design. Curated. A gathering of the most important voices in this industry — emerging and established collectors, curators, institutional leaders — sharing the same room, the same table, the same sense of arrival. No formality. No distance. Just the kind of space where real questions get asked, real relationships take root, and the conversations that form around art become just as vital as the art itself. Because we believe that bringing these figures together — to learn from one another, to pour into one another — is how we grow into the best possible stewards of art and culture. That is the responsibility we hold as a gallery. And through every pivot, we remain committed to centering this — with intention, with resilience, and with an unwavering investment in what this work can become.

What unfolded was beyond what we could have scripted: the feeling of possibility. Of standing together in a place where we have watched real growth happen over time and knowing — it’s working. The quiet understanding that we can build the future together. That we hold, collectively, the power to transform the trajectory of the artists we believe in - and with that, our future. Woven through it all, a luminous performance by Mario Layne Fabrizio stilled the room in the best way.

This is the space we’ve been building toward. And it’s only the beginning.

We are now open by appointment!

OVERVIEW
With ever-deepening digital integration steadily narrowing our collective definition of “technology,” is it also possible to expand it through exploration of the cultural technologies, indigenous technologies, community-centric technologies, nature-based technologies, collaborative technologies and/or creative technologies, past and present, that provide insight into sustainable futures?

The Expanding Technologies Residency is an invitation for one Ibadan-based artist and one Seattle-based artist to explore these themes during site-specific, collaborative programs created by community and artist-run spaces in Ibadan, Nigeria and Seattle, USA.

Artists will participate in a 3-week residency and community arts immersion experience including public exhibition, community engagement and artist talks.

*Artists will expand upon existing projects by connecting with local resources in Seattle and Ibadan

*Artists will produce a public exhibition and community engagement event in host country

*Artists will participate in local arts convenings including Walk The Block (Seattle) and Lagos Art Week (Nigeria)
