Last year’s Patriot Half featured an incredible battle between @aviad_mana and @mattnussrun. The two pushed each other deep into the run until Avraham made his move around mile 5… and never looked back, going on to shatter the course record. This year, we have a #nationalchampionship on the line & we can’t wait to see what happens.

It’s not very often I get to attend a race that I’m not working or directing. Since this was somewhat local, I decided to go help Jeremy and his crew with @sctriseries . BUT, he and his crew had everything under control… so I went off on the course with my camera and played spectator. Here’s my race report:

SWIM: I hit the snooze on my alarm too many times and showed up as folks were getting out of the water. Water looked fast, but it looked cold getting out. Glad I wasn’t swimming 🥶

T1: I couldn’t help but snag someone leaving TA without their helmet clasped and had to make a “spectator correction”. Sorry to whoever that was, and you’re welcome.

BIKE: I drove out to the Food Lion at mile 3 and got a coffee and protein bar. I chatted with the church group doing water bottle handoff, lovely people and very motivated. Took out the camera out and let her rip 📸

T2: I was out of coffee, so it was time for water. Parked the truck and walked out to the Run course.

RUN: It was starting to warm up, so I had to shed my sweatshirt. Got a good spot to snap runners going out, and bikers coming in. I also realized I walked too far from the restrooms 😑

Overall: In all seriousness, it was a great day! It was cool to see this race in person. A handful of people came up asking “Aren’t you the @nctriseries guy?!” Cool to see the SC folks, and everyone who traveled down to do this race. Congrats to all athletes and the crew for a great race!

Delivering on what you are not only capable of but well prepared for comes with its own layer of pressure and that takes time and practice. For team athlete @aviad_mana we have now moved past the first hurdle…..belief. Superb execution and sustained focus from one of the most deserving and hard working athletes I have had the pleasure of working with. Onwards. #triathlon #winning #70.3champion #halfironman #ironman #usatriathlon #belief #swim #bike #run #triathlete

Injury is something every athlete dreads. It’s also where resilience is built.
Aviad’s journey to the top is proof that consistency, mindset, and the right support make all the difference.
We’re proud to have played a small part in that journey.
Big congrats to @aviad_mana — PATRIOT HALF 2025 CHAMPION 🏆
