Mother’s Day Tea.
We - me, my sisters, and my first cousins wanted to do something special for our moms. Since losing our grandmother a few years ago, our moms struggle with Mother’s Day.

But one thing about it, they love a theme. So “tea theme” it was. I’m a Queen Charlotte & Bridgerton fan (ready for season 3), so I was more than ready to practice my tea etiquette.

Mama Be Lit At 60!
My oldest niece is turning 20, and we celebrated her special day @thesugarfactory Midtown.
‌
One thing about Val, she’s goin’ dance! Her mom, my grandma, was always the life of the party & was known as “The Dancing Grandma” (I’ll post videos one day, but she was legendary). Lord, rest her soul. But the older my mom gets, I see so much of my Ma Minnie.
‌
Two, Val is going to show up for her grandkids. She was late because she wasn’t feeling well, but she was perfectly on time.
‌
Three, Val goin’ embarrass the kids but also give them great memories. You can hear my oldest son and nephew say “Grandmaaaaa!!!! 😩” when she started dancing. Jackson and Rylin were unbothered.
‌
Four, Val goin’ get a hype man or in this case, hype woman aka my sister who also happens to love to dance. Lord, I wish I had that much confidence to dance unapologetically in public. The energy is infectious. Shout out to our waiter and all the customers encouraging this behavior. ❤️

Words every parent can’t wait to hear, especially when it’s unexpected. It takes a village and I’m grateful for ours. Jackson is so picky about things and he doesn’t like to go too many places without me. But I can appreciate his willingness to try new things, especially when it comes to hanging with his favorite cousin, Rylin.
And boy, did they have a time! UGA game (it hurt my soul to dress my child in this attire), fishing, and horseback riding. Now why my mama let him wear his pandas, I don’t know, 🥴, those things came back “ruinedT!” I specially said, pandas for the game then change his shoes afterwards. Grandmas just do what they want to do. 🤣
