Sharing the full live recording of the world premiere of Aigerim Seilova’s Radiance @avolies from St. Marien, Berlin — 14 December 2025.

Organ, electronics, light — and the wonderful 1925 Anton Feith organ.

Very happy to finally share the complete piece here. Thank you, Aigerim, for this music.

What an unforgettable evening at Altenberger Dom 🥹

A completely sold-out church, every single seat taken, an incredible audience, and a standing ovation at the end!

A very special highlight for me was having composer Aigerim Seilova @avolies travel from Hamburg to attend the concert, as well as Christian Nelz @chrinel_composer , whose brilliant arrangement of the Harry Potter Suite was part of tonight’s program.

Thank you to everyone who came, listened, and shared this unforgettable night with me. I couldn’t have wished for a better concert.

Another evening of my ORGAN & ELECTRONICS program 🎛️

It’s always a pleasure to hear this reaction after the concert: “I never imagined an organ could sound like this”

Moments like these remind me why I love combining the classical organ repertoire with music by living composers. Being able to share concert recordings with them afterwards (@avolies, Michael Bonaventure) and discuss registrations, tempi, and interpretation is something I truly value.

Thank you to everyone who came! 🖤

If you’re in Berlin, I’d love to see you on Thursday, July 23, at 7 PM at the American Church Berlin.

I’m so happy that I had the chance to play a concert in one of the most unusual places I have ever visited.

The former studio and home of artist and sculptor Hugo Körtzinger in Schnega 🇩🇪 was much more than just a concert venue. It is a place where time really feels different.

Built in the late 1930s and preserved with remarkable care, the house still carries the atmosphere of the period in which Körtzinger lived and worked.

One of the most unusual aspects of this experience was that I literally lived behind the organ — I had a room directly behind the instrument, and could walk through a door straight to it! Waking up and being able to step through that door to the console felt like a real luxury.

The organ itself is quite special. Started by Walcker in 1937 and developed over nearly a decade, it is built around a multiplex system that offers an impressive range of colours and possibilities. And then there are 3 (!)😍 tremulants. As someone who has always had a soft spot for cinema organs, I was delighted.

Preparing for the concert was an interesting challenge. I had only 2 free combinations available, which required very careful planning in advance. My heartfelt thanks go to Andrea 👏, who assisted me during the concert and made me feel so welcome throughout my stay.

I was also deeply touched by the audience. The hall was completely full, and the listeners were curious and wonderfully open-minded. This concert also marked the first time in the history of this organ that it was combined with electronics 🎛️
I believe this fits very well with the spirit of this place, which has always been open to experimentation and new ideas. It was very special to experience how naturally these two sound worlds came together and how warmly the audience responded to it.

A special thank you to Arne Körtzinger for making all of this possible and for his openness to artistic experiments! Thank you for the invitation and for your trust.

It was a great honour to play @sankt_hedwig_mitte St. Hedwig in Berlin.

The programme combined classical & contemporary music, and it worked so well. Since the concert, so many people have sent me kind messages, photos, and videos on Instagram and Facebook. Some of them wrote:

“Danke für dein wundervolles Spiel gestern in der Sankt Hedwig. Es hat uns umgehauen, was in einer Stunde alles passieren kann und dass eine Orgel so klingen kann!”
or
“Thank you for playing so beautifully! All my friends and I were in awe and didn’t know that an organ can sound like you played it.”

I really couldn’t ask for more.

Sometimes I struggle with some of the more conservative views in the organ world, but concerts like this remind me what it’s all about: the connection between music and the audience. You can’t make people like something, but you can share new sounds, new ideas, and show the endless possibilities of the organ.

Even when the music is challenging, with the right dramaturgy you can at least invite people to listen.

That’s what I love about art. There are so many artists, each with their own voice and way of communicating. And the more different those voices are, the richer our world becomes.

I’m especially happy that so many comments were about the contemporary pieces. Thank you, my dear friends and composers Michael Bonaventure and Aigerim Seilova @avolies, for your beautiful music ❤️

Warm thanks to Domorganist @marcelandreasober for the invitation 🖤
