Today, all animal welfare organisations in Amritsar came together for a strong protest outside the Municipal Corporation office against the illegal relocation of community dogs. 🐕✊

Following the protest, we met with the Mayor and the concerned ADC and received assurances that the relocation of community dogs would be stopped. We also demanded the suspension of the employees responsible for this inhumane practice and a fair investigation into the matter.

Our fight is for justice, compassion, and the protection of innocent lives. We will continue to raise our voices until our demands are fulfilled! ❤️🐾

A Shot of Love 🐾❤️💉

From a mental-health perspective, compassion is not something we merely offer to others—it nurtures our own emotional well-being.

Community animals often face fear, illness and rejection, while the people who care for them can experience worry, helplessness and emotional exhaustion. Our street furry babies suffer twice: once from the cruel illness of rabies, and again from the stigma that leads us to reject them when they only seek love.

On World Rabies Day, let’s replace fear with awareness and stigma with understanding. Vaccinating community animals, keeping our pets protected, and treating street dogs and cats with kindness are simple but powerful ways to create safer communities for everyone.

And to every caregiver who quietly feeds, protects and stands up for an animal in need: we salute you. Please remember that your well-being matters too. ❤️

Let’s build a community where animals are protected, caregivers are supported, and compassion is never seen as a weakness.

💛 Stay safe
