As we approach the 1 year anniversary of our return to not New York but return to the best borough in the world - Brooklyn! I can’t thank the White family enough for making our return and transition for Gemma as smooth as possible. We are nothing without community and the community showed up for our babygirl with open arms. As we wrap 2nd grade and prepare for our big girls to enter 3rd grade and kick off summer 26, it’s Knicks in 4!

Please watch the whole clip.

@awhitemom @milf.made doesn’t discuss the details of her work with me because of hipaa laws. But, she often comes home frustrated and angry with a medical industrial complex that de-humanizes women and ignores the centuries of wisdom applied by birth workers. I can say stuff that sounds smart, but she is the very definition of brilliance and character. Maternal justice is a spiritual labor that this plane of existence is too ignorant to appreciate. Her work is not celebrated nearly enough. But this bill being passed by @rbichotte is the result of love, labor, pain and struggle. Salute to @awhitemom @milf.made and all of the birth workers that literally give us life.

Thank you @rbichotte for sharing your story and fighting for so many women that are being ignored by a medical industrial apparatus holding the white supremacist and patriarchal line of ignorance and abuse.

Had the ultimate Pajama and Board Birthday Party. Little did I know it would turn into the Board Olympics. These ladies traveled from PA to NJ and BK with boards and supplies in tow. Special shoutout to the sick and shut in board sent by @ieshar So grateful for a moment to pause and share in some joy, good (sometimes dirty) conversation and friendly competition. I love yall! TY!!!

Host tip: Make sure you keep track of all the boards to avoid duplication and so the ‘meal’ feels well rounded.

I also made and shared a Pinterest board to help with inspiration.

What better way to end a very eventful year and show love to my home welcoming me back with open arms then a run to end the year. My running journey started in these same Brooklyn streets 15 years ago. I have run two @nycmarathon , the first was to prove to myself that I could do it, the 2nd was to raise money for cancer awareness and support in honor of my friend @dawniebdub. As we enter 2026 , I want to do it one more time for so many who can’t , for those who will never get the chance. At 50 , I am awaken to more deaths than births, seems like every week at this point. Mental and physical health is something none of us can afford to take for granted. Getting old is the new definition of cool. Growing up I thought people only died young from acts of violence but as I sit here today our biggest battle is our own health and wellness routine or lack there of. Get your check ups, watch what you eat, slow down on the alcohol and stay active.
I hope to still be here for many years to come walking, running, living and I hope you all will as well.
Sleep well @jerrell634 , your presence will be missed and know that you are loved by many. It’s not about the loudest in the room.
Road to 55
Road to 60 an beyond!
Happy New Year.
