Made it to @154artfair this year & so glad I did! One of my favourite pastimes is being around & taking in black talent, design, art & people. I left full!

A pic with my @africadesignweek family & lovely fellow panellists after such a good & needed discussion on black creativity 💫

On-Site 🦺

My biggest highlight of this year… my pretty pon any side God baby entered the world. Another little princess to love on (thankfully one I did not have to carry & birth myself) 😂 - lucky me!

Glory to God!

Art found at @154artfair sorry I don’t remember the artist but I liked the art! 🥰

Rubble. Can only mean one thing… transformation pending.

New site. New project. Maybe?! 😊

I do love a yap. Working on not going off on a tangent tho 😂

Only Kel would order 3 different desserts as if he’s never eaten all these classic desserts before 😩😂

In my k-pop era & I love that for me. Shout out to @simplicityhairnbeauty for getting me right 😘

Can’t lie, we cute! Kel is not impressed by the fact that everyone thinks/thought he is Jamaican 😂 he is in fact born & bred (until 5) Nigerian!!!

Ps. I’m going to marry a Nigerian & YOU are going to wear gele to my wedding! JOKE… before the clock app Nigerian police find me. IYKYK 😂

Meeting people who are genuine, loving, kind, supportive, generous AND a badass entrepreneur who is willing to put themselves in the middle of a movement that could ruffle many feathers is almost unheard of. She is her.

Follow her. Follow the movement. ADW to the worllllld! 🤎

TODAY IS OUR LAST DAY SLINGIN’ CACTI & COFFEE FROM OUR LIL’ CASITA SHOP AT 83 DYKE RD! 🥹

Come by for a last glance before we close for a few days leading up to our Launch Day in our new space (around the corner 67 Dyke Rd)✌️

Feeling quite sentimental today after our 7.5 years growing and evolving my business within these walls. It’s been some of the best years and some challenging ones too! But I feel proud of what we have achieved and the connections we have gotten to make having a brick and mortar shop. It was always a dream of mine! And here she is!

To all my fellow independents in this fair city! Well done fighting to keep this city weird and wonderful with your ideas and projects!

And to ALL my beloved supporters, cheerleaders, & customers over the years thank you for everything and believing in me and my wild west ideas!

Last week was one of those weeks where everything landed at once and it was amazing, but so so full on, and now (of course) I’m sick 🤧

However here’s a sneak peek of something I worked on which I’m totally obsessed with! The biggest thanks to @ayishaayishaa for bringing me on and for the trust with it 🧡

Can’t wait to share the final photos v soon!!

@yes.colours providing the good paints as always 🎨

I love @livingetcofficial’s Design, Directed dinners! We bring together the most fun crowd, we catch up with old friends and make new ones, we laugh, we eat, people miss trains and stay until the venue kicks us out. There’s an alchemy to them that’s hard to quantify - they just have a little magic! Huge thanks to our partners @farrowandball for letting us bring their newly released Heritage Papers wallpaper collection to life. What a night!

My Caribbean Colour Story 🌴 with @ayishaayishaa

As Carnival comes to a close, we’re celebrating the colour, texture and energy of the Caribbean through Ayisha’s eyes. From sun-baked terracotta and electric blues to rich greens and natural timber, Jamaica has inspired a fresh way of thinking about colour at home.

One of my favourite things I do with The Share is the Messy Middle series, where I chat to women who decided to go for it and make what’s in their heads real.

Because between the ‘I have an idea’ and ‘look what I made’ is usually a whooolle story.

It’s the doubts, the fears, the tears, the pivots, the breakdowns, the breakthroughs…and everything in between.

THAT’s the bit that makes you or breaks you - and the bit I always want to talk about.

Follow TheShareUK for more women, more ideas and more messy middles. And follow all the tagged businesses run by these amazing women! ❤️🙏
