How to stay active on your ILP semester? 🧘‍♀️🤍💪

A semester with ILP can be crazy and a different kind of adjustment than most are used to. It is highly recommended that, if you live an active lifestyle at home, you maintain it while abroad. Even if you don’t, moving your body can be incredibly helpful with homesickness or boredom! Although it can be tricky at times abroad, volunteers have come up with some creative ways to stay active!

- Buy/bring a yoga mat and do YouTube yoga or pilates 🧘
- Go on runs or walks with fellow volunteers 🏃‍♂️
- Find a local gym and purchase a monthly membership 🏋️‍♀️
- Find local fitness classes taught at nearby clubs or gyms 🏊‍♂️
- Use an exercise app that works for you! 📱

There are so many benefits to working out while abroad. Not only is it good for your body, but your mind will thank you later! Stay healthy, volunteers! 🫶
