We didn’t just put on a fashion show. We created something that didn’t exist before. 🧵✨

Threads of Renewal was a celebration of what happens when creativity, culture, sustainability, and community come together without boundaries.

We took textiles with history and gave them new life. We brought together designers, artists, entrepreneurs, and models from diverse cultures and backgrounds. We put Muslim women, immigrant and refugee creatives, and emerging talent at the center of a fashion experience that challenged expectations.

And we did it on our own terms.

Every look that walked the runway carried a story. Every maker in our marketplace represented the power of creative entrepreneurship. And every person who showed up helped demonstrate that fashion can be so much more than what we wear.
It can preserve heritage. Challenge perceptions. Create economic opportunity. Build bridges between communities. And remind us that beauty and creativity have never belonged to just one culture, identity, or tradition.

This is what representation looks like when we create the platform instead of waiting for an invitation.

To our designers, models, artists, volunteers, sponsors, partners, and everyone who filled that space with energy and love—thank you for believing in this vision.

Every textile had a first life. We’re here to imagine what comes next.

On September 20, four designers sent their collections down the runway at Threads of Renewal, our first-ever crosscultural modest fashion show at Meydenbauer Center. Now you can shop those same looks on our website.

This show started with a simple idea: a group of women were told in a hundred quiet ways they didn’t belong on a runway, so they built their own. Bringing one of these pieces home is one of the most direct ways to keep that going.
