@azca.auctions are currently presenting a collection of artworks by SoFAP artist Elizabeth Duncan Meyer.
@art.elizabethduncanmeyer

The artworks will be on view at Azca Auctions Hammersmith saleroom throughout August, culminating in a timed online auction ending on Monday, August 31st at 18:00 BST.

They will also be holding an evening with the artist on Tuesday August 25th - RSVP by email info@azcaauctions.com

Elizabeth has exhibited widely, including with the National Society of Painters, Printmakers and Sculptors and Chelsea Arts Club, as well as internationally, with a solo exhibition in Beijing in 1993.

Drawing on the bold colours and dynamic forms of Expressionism and Cubism, Duncan Meyer’s work spans a diverse range of subjects, from abstract figures, flora and landscapes to biblical narratives and iconography.

This carefully selected collection showcases the breadth of her practice, featuring striking oil paintings, watercolours, collages and prints alongside beautifully crafted wooden and stone sculptures.

Azca Auctions Sells a Rare Alexander McQueen Gown by Sarah Burton for £2,500

A Kaleidoscope gown by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen has sold for £2,500 at Azca Auctions in London. The Hammersmith auction house saw international competitors bid for the piece on July 7th - it was finally secured by a private collector.

Lot 100, the silk gown was a slice of Sarah Burton’s 2011 debut for the house for Spring / Summer; equal parts fantastically stagy and enchanting, the dress incorporated one of the Maison’s most enduring codes, the skull, and exemplified the collection’s paganism and English countryside theming.
