Just catching up on content over here in the Pop Agency office. But this epic event needs a spot on the grid, by our @kiaracosmeticsnz team and @woodbridge.nz the annual @empowerme.pink gala raising much needed funds for @cancerrehabfoundation

With an empowering and personal keynote address by @melaniehomer and incredible live entertainment last years total was again topped with @revitalashnewzealand matching every dollar.

Thank you to all the media and special guests who attended making this an incredible evening giving back to those who need it!

And to @nzherald and @womansdaynz for the wonderful coverage post event!

Unbelievably proud of @melaniehomer, tonight ~ our first night out in a year (to a public event) & she spoke at the @empowerme.pink fundraiser about the Annus horribilis year she faced with exactly the same attitude as she did with her diagnosis & treatment ~ by adjusting her sails, being brave and seeing the funny side of it along the way. Proud doesn’t even touch the sides of what she’s enduring but somehow she always sees the bright side & shout out to our winning table 2 crew too 🥰

August - a month full of wine studies but somehow I managed to still find time to socialize! A trip to Hawke’s Bay, a midwinter Christmas, a Palm Springs soirée, Winetopia dinners with friends, painting day, Restaurant Month meals, fashion shows and birthday celebrations!

Pride Pledge held a debate of willing political parties (noted absence of National, Act and NZF) in Tāmaki Makaurau this week.

The debate was for Pride Pledge Clients and Auckland Rainbow Law Members, hosted by Russell McVeagh and with Aziz Al‑Sa’afin (TVNZ Journalist) as MC.

Cool to go to a debate focused on one topic (still a lot to say) and to really focus on what is facing rainbow people in Aoetearoa. 🌈

Join us for our 2026 Election Pride Panel – A Cross‑Party Kōrero

As Aotearoa heads toward the 2026 General Election, Pride Pledge 🏳️‍🌈 in partnership with Auckland Rainbow Law is hosting a cross‑party Pride Panel to support open, respectful dialogue about the future of rainbow wellbeing and inclusion in New Zealand post election.

We are inviting our political parties to send one representative to speak to their policies, commitments, and priorities for rainbow communities — including trans, non‑binary, intersex, takatāpui, New Zealanders. A full line up of confirmed representatives will be released soon.

The panel will be hosted by Auckland Rainbow Law Sponsors, Russell McVeagh, in person in Auckland and will be moderated by Aziz Al Sa'afin‑Sa’afin (1News Journalist).

This event is an important opportunity to bring together political representatives and rainbow communities for a conversation grounded in manaakitanga, safety, and constructive engagement.

Time: 5pm – 7pm (Arrive 5pm for mix and mingle. 5.20pm welcome and opening. Panel 5.30pm – 6.30pm. 630pm – 7pm networking drinks.)

We were honoured to welcome The International Kiki House of IMAN into the new Karanga-a-Hape Station last night, transforming the station into something far more than a transport hub, in true Karangahape Road style.

“Where steel meets skin. To go underground is to return to the histories of our brown and black communities and the people who created space for us here, specifically on Karangahape Road. Honouring its flesh and bones within the steel walls, whether we arrive or depart, we are engraved into its DNA.” - The Kiki House of Iman

What a powerful way to welcome and bless one of Auckland’s newest public spaces, while honouring the communities that have always called Karangahape Road home ❤️
