¡Feliz Día de la Independencia de México! 🇲🇽🤎 For those of us who are mixed or grew up somewhat removed from parts of our heritage, sometimes we have to find our way back to it. For me, that has looked like language, learning and speaking Spanish, music, food, and especially art. Becoming a Spanish teacher and creating work that celebrates Latinos have both become ways for me to honor where I come from. This collaboration was another way of doing that. Bringing women together, sharing our creativity, trading skills, stories, and ideas, and creating something simply because it has meaning that, too, feels like an extension of culture and community. Heritage isn't only something we inherit. There’s something incredibly special about coaching women. 🍑🔥 I started this journey wanting to teach women how to train, build their glutes, get stronger, and become more confident — but along the way, they’ve taught me just as much. They’ve taught me patience. They’ve taught me the importance of creating a space where women feel safe, respected, and empowered. And they’ve reminded me that coaching is about so much more than sets and reps — it’s about trust, connection, and growing together. In our own little way, we’re bridging the gap between men and women through training, understanding, and shared experiences. ❤️ And these ladies? Warning- Non-wine content: 😊 What a treat. I spent the day with @azullaartista to start on a project that I have been wanting for several years. Worried about my existing tattoo, I drug my feet. I think that it was just timing from the universe. Because she was the right artist for this. There were some spicey parts but she talked me thru them. She listened which was so important to me… it’s on my body forever. We talked about all the things….🍷, 🐓, 🐶 and being business owners! It was a wonderful experience. Part 1 done… 😊 I love how it turned out. Can’t wait to do the other side! Thank you Azure!
