Japan becomes especially compelling when the accommodation is part of the destination story.

Azumi Setoda (occupies a restored 150-year-old merchant home on Ikuchijima, where the Seto Inland Sea, local citrus, seasonal cuisine and the Shimanami Kaido shape the experience. Farther north, Azuma Farm Koiwai introduces a different rhythm: a farm resort in Iwate built around a landscape cultivated through more than 130 years of coexistence between people and nature.

For advisors, the pair offers two very different ways to move beyond Japan’s major cities and connect clients with a deeper sense of place.
