Today we partnered up with @b3collectivecommunity to host a co-ed Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Self Defense seminar. We talked about what to do when someone grabs your wrist, chokes you from the front with both arms, when someone chokes you from behind with one arm and how to react when someone grabs you by the waist from behind. These techniques are rooted in old school Gracie Jiu Jitsu and I learned them at @sixbladesjiujitsuphiladelphia underneath Ray Huxen. In a world where Jiu Jitsu is becoming so far away from its combative roots I’m proud to keep the old school traditions going in our academy.
