💫 Energy Healing & Somatic Movement ~ Reiki, Move the Energy! Somatic Dance, Cacao, Sound Healing

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This Fall, our Beautiful Ventures Network hosted a “theater outing and hang back discussion” featuring Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’ Pulitzer Prize– and Tony Award–winning play PURPOSE at the Alliance Theater in Atlanta, Georgia!

We know there’s some discussion in these internet streets on the state of Black theater, 🎭 the state of canon-making by Black playwrights outside of Wilson (we LOVE Wilson!), but if the brilliance

In that script, 📝
on that stage 🎭 and
the depth of heartfelt insight, 💡 sharing ♥️, healing ❤️‍🩹in that post-show conversation 🗣️was any indication...

…🎉THE STATE OF BLACK THEATER IS ALIVE….AND IT IS VERY WELL!! 🎉

Deep thanks to our partners at the Alliance Theater, to the gracious actors who came to share space with us, and for the Keith Arthur Bolden who directed such a stellar production!

As you can see, we had a wonderfully time. THANKS to all of our Network members and friends who came out to join us and make for an unforgettable space.

Catch PURPOSE at a theater near you — it is a remarkable work!

Next up:

Los Angeles’ Geffen Playhouse @geffenplayhouse — it features several original Broadway cast members, including LaTanya Richardson Jackson, Kara Young, and Harry Lennix. And directed by the incomparable Phylicia Rashad.
November 11–December 20, 2026

Princeton, New Jersey - the amazing cast who spend a Saturday afternoon with us will be performing PURPOSE at the MacArthur Theatre Center - @macarthurtheatre4042 Beginning Jan. 21, 2027.

We are Beautiful Ventures and we are cultivating the ecosystem for #TheNextHarlemRenaissance! We cultivate, center and celebrate #BlackHumanityAffirmingNarratives

Yesterday was an amazing testament to what bringing the right people into a space and creating something beautiful can do for the soul.

Prior to my departure from Milwaukee, the RJ2 Society was created. I am grateful that I crossed paths with these amazing and powerful individual. For months, what became an idea flourished into this beautifully curated event for reproductive justice advocates and birthworkers.

@lorettajross led a discussion on her book, Calling In, a method to combat cancel culture and concepts that every human being needs to diffuse differences of opinions and white supremacy.

After, I led a sound healing session meant to activate memories. Then @symphonyswanart led us through a collaging activity that helped us to re-member who we are and what led us to our own work. Her work through @thecr8tvhouse is all about storytelling and archiving through pictures and memories. I was amazed at all that we could do and I know that we barely scratched the surface.

Last, but certainly not least, @b_moved guided us through movement and tapping a NIA Holistic Dance session.l

By the end of the day, all of my senses were activated and my brain was tingling. I am excited to see where this journey takes us as we continue to co-create spaces as a collective and bringing many more along with us!! RJ2 Society is on the map
