🔊 On Wednesday April 15th, we are pleased to announce that TAKAAT will be joining us at The Compound during their Spring 2026 Tour. With special guests Daoure Diongue and Abdu Mongo Ali featuring Mark Navarro.

“TAKAAT, meaning “noise” in the Tuareg language Tamashek, is the trio of Ahmoudou Madassane, Mikey Coltun, and Souleymane Ibrahim, also known as the rhythm section of Mdou Moctar. TAKAAT is sonic chaos, improvisation, freedom of exploration and the punk styles of bands such as Fugazi and Unwound, all mixed together with the guitar music from the Sahel.”

This will be a very special night of highly curated music and selection with some incredible musicians local to Baltimore.

Doors 7 PM, Music 8 PM. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Available on Eventbrite.

This Valentine’s Day, I’m celebrating the love that is rooted in friendship. I have so much I want to say to the people who helped bring this whole thing to life but I’m kind of having a hard time articulating what it is I’d like to say.. If you had a hand in helping in this process at all, from music production to video production or even helping me shoot reels to promo, just know I’m eternally grateful for your wonderfully creative minds, support, & most of all friendship.

With Love, 2:G

Congratulations to the incredible cast and crew on opening “Silent Sky”!🌟

A beautiful tribute to curiosity, perseverance, and the women who changed how we see the universe.
As the play reminds us: Before there was Hubble, there was Henrietta Leavitt.

So proud of everyone who brought this story to life—here’s to an exciting run! ✨🎭

Lil 2025 review. Thank you @yamberrhein whose curiosity was one of my greatest teachers this year, and who inspired me to turn the camera back onto the people I love in my own life and to take it less seriously. A lot of seriously unfocused shots in here because I was too busy laughing, mostly on super 8 just to play. Everybody showed up this year to love me and let me love them. New friendships that feel millenia old and old friendships that feel tender and new. I am so lucky. I feel like I fast-tracked 18 stages of development, last January feels like five years ago. I remember walking carefully around my house feeling so insulated and unsure, listening to the heat come on as currents of cold air rolled across the floor. Sitting quietly for hours and coming to no conclusion. Eventually a sign would arrive. It all worked out. Shout out to Alex G for making an album just for me to move across the country to and to my friends and lovers who show me home could be anywhere. xo

Meet the Creative Team of “Silent Sky,” which will open at Perisphere on January 30, 2026. As we head into a break from rehearsals for the holidays, our team will make sure production stays on schedule for when we return and quickly jump into technical rehearsals.

🎟️Tickets are on sale now. Don’t miss this moving story of Henrietta Leavitt, an early 20th century astronomer whose discovery of how to effectively measure vast astronomical distances led to a shift in our understanding of the scale and nature of the universe 🪐✨✨💫
