6:00pm: Smashed NYC, 516 Hudson St.
Start your night at this mini-chain for what one could (I could) argue is one of the best smashburgers in the city. They're crispy, lacey, well-seasoned, and delicious.

7:30pm: you know, that Bakery out in Bensonhurst, IRT Theater, 154 Christopher St.
Then head to IRT Theater to catch Moxie Arts NY's first production in their 2026 Moxie Incubator, you know that Bakery out in Bensonhurst. Dell and Micki are sisters who work in a bakery. Been working there their whole lives, their mom owns the place. Even though they’re only four years apart, it may as well be 40, they’re that different. Dell is sixteen going on sixty, an old soul struggling to understand why their father died – he definitely didn’t kill himself, even if that’s what they all say. Micki is twenty going on sixteen, excited to be embarking on a new relationship – even if she ain’t supposed to. No matter, at least Dell’s got Adeline, her new friend opening her up to new experiences. When Micki leaves her family, the girls’ lives are twisted into a turmoil neither could’ve ever predicted.

9:00pm: White Horse Tavern, 567 Hudson St.
After the show, head over to the storied and landmarked White Horse Tavern, around since 1880. Talk about the show with the ghosts at the bar!

(you know, that Bakery out in Bensonhurst runs from 9/2-9/6 - the first two nights are SOLD OUT and 9/4 is in high demand, so get your tickets ASAP before they run out!)

For those of you who don’t know, I’m trans!

Yesterday officially marks 2 years since I started HRT. Until now, I’ve been comfortable with most pronouns, but moving forward, I would like to use she/her or they/them.

Starting this journey during a time when anti-trans sentiment is so high has been one of the craziest decisions I’ve ever made, but it’s also the best decision I’ve ever made.

There were many days when my transness felt like a curse, but I finally understand that it’s a gift. It’s a gift to understand myself so deeply and to love myself enough to let her shine.

The world has not been kind to trans people as of late, but the world has nothing on the people in my life who have been there for me the past two years.

Trans people have existed long before the word transgender, and they will continue to exist until the end of time.

I haven’t posted much over the past two years because it’s hard to find the right picture when you’re constantly changing. But, I figured I’d share some recent pictures as I start to feel happier with the person I see in them. 💖
