MEET THE TEAM: LUCY HARDING – ASSISTANT PRODUCER

We are so excited to welcome Lucy Harding to the Tinned Peaches team as our ASSISTANT PRODUCER.

Originally from the NORTH EAST and now based in MANCHESTER, Lucy is an emerging filmmaker with experience spanning FILM, TELEVISION, MUSIC VIDEOS and CREATIVE PRODUCTION.

Her credits include DON’T BELIEVE A WORD I SAY, FOR GOD’S SAKE, TISH MURTHA and CBBC’S THE DUMPING GROUND, alongside her work championing independent filmmakers and emerging creative talent across the North.

Lucy brings a wonderful combination of creative instinct, practical production experience and a genuine passion for independent storytelling.

Having recently produced her own short film, Lucy has worked closely with directors across script development, budgeting, crew coordination and securing locations, with the film now beginning its festival journey.

But what makes Lucy’s connection to Tinned Peaches particularly special is her own family history.

In the 1980s, Lucy’s grandmother opened a vegetarian restaurant, which her family still runs today. Over the years, it has grown into an intimate community space for ART, MUSIC and PEOPLE to come together.

It’s a story that feels wonderfully close to the heart of Tinned Peaches.

A place filled with memories, generations of family history, and the communities that grow around the spaces we call our own.

Lucy has always wanted to explore that family history through film, and it was this personal connection that first drew her to our story and the themes we’re exploring.

We’re so excited to have Lucy’s creativity, enthusiasm and production experience helping us bring Tinned Peaches to life, and we can’t wait to have her alongside us on this journey.

WELCOME TO THE TEAM, LUCY 🧡

WHAT’S ONE THING YOUR FAMILY WILL NEVER THROW AWAY? 📦

In Tinned Peaches, Susan and Georgie spend the day sorting through the things left behind in Susan’s late mother’s home.

Some are destined for the bin. Others hold a lifetime of memories.

So we want to know, what’s the one thing in your family that no one could ever bring themselves to throw away?

An old piece of furniture? A battered recipe book? Your nan’s best china? A box of photos nobody’s opened in years? Or something completely random that’s just… always been there?

Tell us yours in the comments 👇

WHO IS OUR IDEAL FOLLOWER❓

Someone with excellent taste, questionable family dynamics and a cupboard containing at least one tin they’ve been meaning to use since 2019.

Basically… you lot.

We’re on a tiny mission to get Tinned Peaches to 1,000 followers!

Why? Because the more of you there are, the further this little film can travel and the more people get to discover the family drama nobody ordered.

So, if you’ve been enjoying following our journey:

1️⃣ Follow us
2️⃣ Share this post with someone who looks like they’d enjoy a complicated family dinner
3️⃣ Tag a friend who belongs in the Tinned Peaches family

Our goal: 1,000 people in one slightly dysfunctional peach-shaped family.

Come for the peaches. Stay for the unresolved emotional baggage.

Let’s get to 1K. Thank you! 🧡

MEET THE TEAM: HOLLY BOURDILLON – EDITOR

We are so excited to welcome Holly Bourdillon to the Tinned Peaches team as our EDITOR.

Holly has worked across FEATURE FILM, HIGH-END TELEVISION and SHORT FILMS, with credits including NETFLIX’S ONE DAY, SKY’S THE DAY OF THE JACKAL, EXTRA GEOGRAPHY and BARE ROOTS, alongside many more.

She brings such a thoughtful and instinctive approach to the edit, with a real belief in giving a story room to breathe and allowing the moments to speak for themselves.

When Holly first read Tinned Peaches, she was immediately drawn to the Mother-Daughter relationship at its heart: the way it moves between intimacy, frustration, love and misunderstanding, and how much is communicated through everything these two women don’t say to each other.

For Holly, the edit will be about finding the rhythm of that relationship rather than forcing it — making space for the quieter moments alongside the chaos of our leading ladies.

She’s also particularly drawn to the house as a third character in the film: a home filled with memories, where the closeness and chaos of the interiors contrast with the openness of the garden and the world outside.

And then there are the tiny details. Hands. Eyes. Glances. Those perfectly imperfect faces. The little things that tell us everything about these women without needing to say a word.

We can’t wait to see Holly bring all of those moments together and help shape Tinned Peaches into a film that stays with you long after the credits roll.

WELCOME TO THE TEAM, HOLLY 🧡

WE’RE THROUGH TO ROUND 2️⃣ ✨

We’re so excited to share that Tinned Peaches has made it through to Round 2 of @day.job.films Film Fund 2026.

After being selected from hundreds of submissions in Round 1, our screenplay is now heading into the full script review, where they’ll be taking a closer look at the story, characters, visual storytelling and the creative vision behind the film.

To know that Tinned Peaches stood out, and that they saw the potential in what we’re trying to create, means such a lot.

It’s also made us stop for a second and realise just how far this little film has come. What started as an idea has grown into an incredible team and a community of people who have backed us, donated, shared the film and followed along as we’ve tried to get it out into the world. We genuinely wouldn’t be here without you.

Next stop… Round 3 and the final interviews, where we’d get the chance to sit down with the Day Job Films team and talk all things Tinned Peaches. We would absolutely love to get there.

So, everything crossed.

Thank you for continuing to believe in this little film and helping us get this far.

Round 2, here we go!

WAIT… WE DID ALL THIS IN 4 MONTHS?! 🥹

Sometimes you have to stop for a minute, turn around and actually look at how far you’ve climbed.

Tinned Peaches started with a script, a very personal story, and absolutely no idea how much work was about to go into making it happen.

Four months later, we’ve raised money, built an amazing team, had brands get behind us, had people champion the film, been in the press and reached thousands of people.

And honestly, it’s easy to forget how much has happened when you’re constantly looking at the next thing that needs doing.

Because it hasn’t been easy. There have been endless emails, funding applications, spreadsheets I definitely didn’t dream of having to understand, setbacks, uncertainty and a LOT of figuring things out as we’ve gone.

So this is us taking a second to look back.

From the little girl who used to sing The Little Mermaid upside down on the garden slide to me now holding a tin of peaches and making a film about my family. I think she’d be pretty chuffed.

But we’re not there yet.

We’re still only about a third of the way towards what we need to actually get Tinned Peaches made, and we still need to raise another £7,000 to get this thing over the line.

So if you’ve shared our posts, donated, introduced us to someone, sent our Crowdfunder to a mate or simply told someone about Tinned Peaches — thank you. Honestly.

And if you can help us keep it moving, please keep sharing, keep talking about it and keep reaching out if you know someone who might want to get behind the film.

Donate. Share. Introduce. You never know where one conversation might lead.

Four months down. £7,000 to go.

Let’s get this little film made.

FOR THE STORIES WE REMEMBER, AND THE TINS WE NEVER FORGET.

We are so happy to share that @spambrand have kindly donated tins of SPAM® Chopped Pork and Ham for the Tinned Peaches set.

When we reached out to the team at Hormel Foods and shared the story behind the film, including the memories of SPAM and tinned food woven through our own family, they immediately understood what we were trying to make.

A huge thank you to the whole Hormel Foods team for loving tinned goods and nostalgia as much as we do, and for helping us bring a little more of that world to life on screen.

One more little piece of Tinned Peaches falling into place.

Thank you for believing in our story.

THE CONVERSATIONS THAT MADE US 👵🏻

From living room laughs to quiet moments that say everything, these are a few of the British film and TV moments that remind us why we love telling stories about ordinary people and extraordinary families.

The humour. The heart. The honesty.

These are the stories that continue to inspire us as we bring Tinned Peaches to life.

Which British film or TV quote would you add?

WELCOME TO THE TINNED PEACHES FAMILY, TIMOR⌚️

Some objects tell more than just the time.

They become part of family photographs. They pass from one generation to the next.

They quietly witness moments of love, loss, and everything in between.

That’s why we’re so proud to welcome @timorwatch as the Official Film Partner of Tinned Peaches.

Founded in 1923, Timor has a remarkable history. From watches made for the British Army during the Second World War to elegant timepieces worn across generations, their craftsmanship has become part of people’s lives for over a century. Like the stories we inherit, they’re passed down, treasured, and remembered.

Their generous contribution to our production, alongside the loan of a beautiful vintage women’s Timor watch, will help bring one of Tinned Peaches’ most meaningful objects to life on screen.

Some stories are told through people.

Some are told through the things they leave behind.

Thank you, Timor, for believing in ours.

SOME FAMILY ALBUMS HOLD MORE THAN PHOTOGRAPHS 📷

In recent weeks, more light has been shone on the experiences of women who, throughout the 1950s, 60s and 70s, were forced to give up their babies or carry the weight of shame because of the attitudes of the time.

For many women, silence wasn’t a choice. Their stories have shaped generations in ways we’re only beginning to understand.

But what about the children?

The sons and daughters who grew up with unanswered questions. The families who lived alongside secrets they didn’t yet know. The generations still discovering how the past quietly echoes through the present.

Tinned Peaches is inspired by the hidden histories that exist within ordinary families, and the lasting impact they can have across generations.

This post is for every woman whose voice went unheard, every child searching for answers, and every family finding the courage to speak about the past with compassion.
