This was only the first activation and we are doing this for an entire month to celebrate the FIFA World Cup coming to Atlanta. Our next event is June 17th and you want to be there. This special edition of Sweet Auburn Stories brings together civic leaders, cultural storytellers, and native Atlantans to explore the city’s history, evolution and enduring influence. Featuring former Mayor Shirley Franklin, Deante Kyle of the Grits and Eggs Podcast, other distinguished voices, and moderated by Royce Bable of Sweet Auburn Stories, the conversation examines Atlanta’s journey from a center of civil rights leadership to a global hub for culture, business, sports, and innovation.

We will answer the questions: Where were we as a city? Where are we today? And..Where are we going?

And on June 14, we LAUNCH The Atlanta Cultural Exchange, a once in a lifetime opportunity for Atlanta’s very own creative ecosystem to be displayed for a global audience. As envisioned by Mayor Andre Dickens, produced by Adriane Jefferson and The Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs, Produced by Angela Watts and 10 Squared Agency, presented by Showcase Atlanta and powered by The Gathering Spot.

We’re kicking things off with a full day of Atlanta culture, creativity, conversation, and community. Think live DJs, gaming tournaments, performance art, independent film storytelling, Atlanta history through the voices that lived it, a New Atlanta vs. Old Atlanta DJ battle, and a powerful closing performance from Atlanta visionary @devynestephens.

And this is just Day One.

Whether you’re a lifelong Atlantan or visiting our city for the first time, June 14th is your chance to experience Atlanta through the people, stories, sounds, and creative voices that continue to shape our culture.

I love #Atlanta dump 🎂😊🫶🏾
Last month, I had the best time seeing friends, family, and colleagues while getting inspired in the city I lived in for almost six years. Atlanta will always have a special place in my heart because of the people who live there.

Bringing it back again for year two! Atlanta showed up 🔥

Can’t stop thinking about the parade! From the people to the creativity to the pride, you could feel it on every block of Peachtree. Over 75 parade groups and 2700+ participants showed up, representing local schools, bands, creators, businesses, and community leaders.

Roycebee Creative was proud to lead the production of the 2nd Annual 404 Day Parade, bringing this moment to life once again alongside our partners, participants, and the entire Atlanta community. This Black History Month, our history wasn’t just remembered…it was experienced.

@SweetAuburnStories and @AtlantaLife came together for a powerful interview with Ambassador #AndrewYoung. To celebrate with our Atlanta community, we hosted a reception and screening at the @HammondsHouseMuseum.

Thank you to our honored guests including:

▪️ Mayor of Atlanta, @andreforatlanta
▪️ Phenola Culbreath, the first Black female flight attendant for @delta
▪️ The grandson of the founder of @thebusybeeatl, representing one of Atlanta’s most iconic Black-owned restaurant legacies
▪️ Stacey Key, President of the Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council (GMSDC)
▪️ Henrietta Antoinin, an employee of Atlanta Life for 47 years, and the former SVP of Public Relations

Everyone left with a deeper connection to Ambassador Andrew Young and better understanding of Atlanta Life’s role in supporting the Black community over the years.
