Some people enter your life through Jiu-Jitsu and, somewhere along the journey, become family.

I’ve known @3angleleo for more than ten years. Countless rounds, difficult battles, plenty of laughter and more great memories than I could ever put into words.

ROLLING TO FIGHT CANCER 🎗️🥋

@backstagejiujitsu is becoming something bigger.

What started as a simple idea—bringing the mats to touring musicians—is now becoming an opportunity to connect the worlds of music and Jiu-Jitsu while supporting the fight against cancer.

From backstage rooms to Casa de Luta, I’ve had the privilege of sharing the mats with members of Trivium, Biohazard, Jinjer, SPEED, Sworn Enemy, Striking13, Ghostkid and No Turning Back.

No stage. No crowd. No egos. Just good people, hard rounds, and the connection created through Jiu-Jitsu.

Now I want those rounds to become something bigger.

After losing family members to cancer and seeing the disease affect friends and their loved ones, I began asking myself:

Can I use Jiu-Jitsu to help?

That question became:

🎗️ ROLLING TO FIGHT CANCER 🎗️

The idea is simple: I roll to raise money and awareness for the fight against cancer.

There is no fee to roll with me and no obligation to donate. If we share the mats, we share the mats—nothing changes.

But if someone wants to support the project and is in a position to do so, they can make a voluntary donation.

No minimum. No expectations. No pressure.

Through regular training, special sessions, events, and the people I meet through Jiu-Jitsu and Backstage Jiu-Jitsu, I want to support cancer research and organizations fighting this disease.

I cannot cure cancer.
Jiu-Jitsu cannot cure cancer.

But I can roll.
I can raise awareness.
I can raise money.
And I can turn something I love into support for something bigger.

I feel truly honored and proud to have @lucas_no_gi by my side—not only as my student, but also as my training partner, fellow coach and brother.

This is one of the most beautiful parts of Jiu-Jitsu: watching someone grow, sharing knowledge with them and eventually realizing that you are now learning from each other. Lucas is someone I can teach, learn from and continue improving alongside every time we share the mats.

Years pass, roles evolve and the level keeps rising, but the respect, trust and brotherhood remain the same. We push each other, challenge each other and continue growing together—both as martial artists and as people.

Proud of everything you have achieved and even more excited for everything still ahead of you. It is a privilege to share this journey with you, brother.
