For @frieze_magazine, I recently dug into the issue of art restoration/conservation (Link in Bio). My lead question was how, in an age of diminishing authenticity, restorers should approach artworks. I spoke with Babette Hartwieg, the lead restorer from Gemäldegalerie Berlin, and Katharina Haider, from Bacon Art Conservation Studios. I also reread some of Benjamin’s thoughts on aura, and debates revolving around the projected reconstruction of Notre-Dame. Thanks for the input! @carina_rrroberta 🙏🏼 #restoration #notredame #art
