Excited to snuggle up in these socks tonight now that they’ve finished drying! If you look closely at the photos, the left sock is a tiiiiiiny bit darker because it was still damp 😆

Another throwback WIP WEDNESDAY!

This one was from earlier this summer when I was working on the sport weight version of the Cahas Cowl. When I say I couldn’t stop making them I wasn’t lying. The cowl pattern will come in four different weights so you can make the version perfect for you and your yarn. I think I made 8 total (so far).

there are so many small, independent yarn brands in the US making the most beautiful things. i love a hand dyed skein and a color combination i wouldn’t think of on my own. i want to try them all, which is a problem when i already have enough yarn to keep me busy for years. so, a little list of American indie yarn brands i’d love to try someday (soon, hopefully)

tell me your favorites! especially if there’s a small dyer making colors you can’t stop thinking about. i’m always looking for an excuse to add something to the list!

I’ve been working on socks for the @badsheepyarn socktober KAL and the pattern that came with the box ( which the art work for the box is adorable!) is Spindle & Spell by Beth K @things.beth.makes and this is the most interesting heel / gusset I’ve ever did. It uses a double gusset and the decreases are two sets on the heel. It really cinches around the foot! At first I was just going to sub my go to heel but I was like no, no you need to challenge yourself or you will never learn. And so I decided to follow the pattern and I’m glad I did 😊 I can’t wait to finish this pair for both the bad sheep KAL and the #fallingleavessockkal2026 ( I know Denise loves new heels I wonder if she’s done this one. @earthtonesgirl )

Another test knit off the needles! ✨

Meet the #WaffleCardigan by @the_knit_purl_girl ! Test knitting with Sophie was such a delight. She was incredibly responsive to feedback, and getting to know a community of knitters from around the globe made this project extra special. 🌏

The cardigan is knit in one of my favorite yarn combinations—superwash merino and suri alpaca—from @badsheepyarn in the dreamy colorway Vintage Champagne. The lace was absolutely addictive, and the stockinette for the body and sleeves was a welcome, relaxing change of pace.

I made a small modification to allow for a steek, and I am officially a convert! Being able to knit the cardigan in the round made the whole process so much more enjoyable. I can already see more steeked cardigans in my future!

As much as I loved knitting this darling piece, it isn’t quite my aesthetic, so it’s off to make my sweet cousin’s @tess.hanson.depretis wardrobe a little cozier. 🧶

Sophie is also releasing a Waffle Sweater alongside the cardigan, and that one is definitely on my future knitting list! I’m picturing a more rustic green yarn for myself—and honestly, how adorable would one be on each of my daughters in pink or purple? 🩷💜
