A BIG THANK YOU — Without these venues and collaborating community orgs, we could not have made magic as BOSS Idea House in 2025. These are supporters of art, culture, and community, offering what they can to make the Bay a safe, vibrant, and affirming place to live. Be sure to give them a follow. ✨💗

Grateful to @interpreting_abram for setting up a museum visit for @baeblackboy and @ocgpresents to see @isaacjulien at the @deyoungmuseum and kick off Pride month! We had wonderful discussion with these lovely folks and support from de Young’s staff (shout out to Sedey). Julien’s work is rich, staggering, captivating, and a love letter to the complexities and beauty of Black people and people of color. Check out the exhibit before it leaves the museum!

February was a tough month personally. I’ve been trying to make some changes to my habits and it’s forced me to confront many of the narratives I tell myself about myself. A wise friend reminded me that “plants only grow where they are vulnerable.” While challenging, I’m invested in doing the work and getting better every day. A blessing throughout the month has been community and friends, new and old, who have reminded me who I am, even when I seem to have forgotten. Thankful for all of you and here’s to a better, brighter March. This song by @hopetala has been a gift to and meditation for me this past month and I hope it can be for you too. A reminder that your people will be there for you, no matter where they are. ❤️ . . . #februarydump #latergram #selfimprovement #baeblackboy #dartmouth #ignatius #qpoc #melaninmagic

Our deepest gratitude and thanks to all the amazing volunteers that came out and joined us alongside our partners at @bayardrustin1 and @baeblackboy to help pack boxes of food for @sfmfoodbank as part of our MLK Day of Service event 💪🏽🥘💪🏽 We collectively boxed over 22,848 lbs of food in over 952 boxes over two shifts, with over 30+ volunteers! That’s a lot of food to go to families and individuals who need help making ends meet. Special thank you to several of the volunteers who came from our various chartered Democratic Clubs, including:

@sfyoungdems @sfendc
Home Sharers Democratic Club @westsidefamilydemocrats @alicelgbtqdems @uniteddemclubsf @noevalleydems We will host many more opportunities like this throughout the year to get involved and give back to our community, but for now, be sure to follow the good work of the SF Marin Food Bank and join us this Monday for the MLK Day March Link in bio for the MLK March on Jan 20th

BaeBlackBoy strives to facilitate spaces where Black queer men and others can build understanding and community among one another. “We are extremely thankful to A.C.T. (and Gilead) for supporting over 60 of us in seeing A Stange Loop — a show that reflects so many of our lived experiences — together. This will be a night we remember forever.” A Strange Loop is in San Francisco at the Toni Rembe til May 12. Get your tickets for A Strange Loop at act-sf.org!
