🏀💙 REAL STORIES. REAL EXPERIENCES. THE HOOPSTERS JOURNEY! 💙🏀

What better way to share the HOOPSTERS experience than hearing directly from the people who are part of it? 🙌🏾

Today, we’re sharing our first set of testimonials featuring a mother and her daughter, giving us two special perspectives on their HOOPSTERS journey!

👩‍❤️‍👩 From a parent's perspective — the decision to give her child the opportunity to learn, grow and experience basketball.

🏀 From a young player's perspective — the fun, the learning and the excitement of being part of the programme!

At HOOPSTERS, we're creating more than opportunities to learn basketball. We're building confidence, encouraging teamwork, developing resilience and helping young people discover what they can achieve when given the opportunity, guidance and support.
And we're only getting started! 💫🧠💪🏾

💙 A heartfelt thank you to Claire and Zane for sharing their experience and being part of our journey.

Every child has a story to tell, and we're excited to see how these stories unfold!

There's still time to join us! We have 7 weeks remaining until December 5, with prorated registration and per-session payment options available.

🏀💙 ONE MONTH IN… AND WE’RE JUST GETTING STARTED! 💙🏀

Can you believe we’re already one month into the HOOPSTERS journey? Time flies when you’re learning, sharing, growing and, most importantly, HAVING FUN! 🙌🏾😄

Our young players are developing their basketball skills, building confidence, learning to work together and discovering that there is so much more to the game than putting the ball in the basket.

Through fun drills and activities, we’re creating an environment where they can learn, make mistakes, try again, support each other and celebrate every little win. Because every pass, every attempt, every laugh and every new skill is part of the journey! 🏀✨

We’re not just developing basketball players; we’re helping to shape confident, resilient young people and future leaders—one session at a time.

💙 THERE’S STILL TIME TO JOIN US!

We have 7 weeks remaining until our programme concludes on December 5, and we’d love to welcome more boys and girls to the HOOPSTERS family!

Parents and guardians, if your child has been wanting to try basketball, this is a great opportunity to get involved. You can sign up on a prorated basis for the remaining programme or pay per session. No need to wait for the next programme to begin!

📍 Location: Lester Vaughan School 📅 When: Saturdays | 3:30–5:00 PM 👧🏾👦🏾 Who: Boys and girls, ages 8–16 📲 Register or enquire: (246) 231-3308 📧 hoopsters246@gmail.com

A big thank you to the parents and guardians for trusting us with your children’s development, and to Coach Cosmo Edwards for sharing his knowledge, experience and passion for the game. 💙

One month down. Seven weeks to go. More skills to learn, friendships to build and memories to make! 🌱🏀

💡From Policy to Action!
As a member of the Promotions and Awareness Workplace Wellness Committee , it’s always a fun and fulfilling experience leading the Get Moving segment of the @workplacewellnessbb @molbarbados246 Wellness in Action Forum! 🎶💫🧠💪🏾

The National Committee for Wellness in the Workplace hosted its 3rd Annual Forum under the theme “Policy to Action” — a timely reminder that creating healthier workplaces requires us to move beyond policies and turn intentions into meaningful action.

It was an engaging, educational and productive experience, filled with opportunities to connect with colleagues, meet new people, share ideas and inspire others to take action towards healthier, happier and more productive workplaces.

Because workplace wellness isn’t just about having a policy... it’s about putting wellness into action! 💙

🌸💜"Community is important. We cannot do this by ourselves. Menopause is common
The symptoms are common, but community brings it together.
Comunity helps us to regulate and manage. Don't leave that out ladies. Come out, get involved, talk, engage and we'll make it through. ~Chauntelle C.

What is Let’s Move Barbados: Know Your Numbers?

It’s an opportunity to raise awareness about Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs). To walk, run, ride and skate for and with those fighting these diseases.

It’s a chance to visit our wellness village and get screening so you actually know what your numbers are. And to sample healthy foods that look and taste good.

It’s a way to connect and build a community of likeminded individuals who want to turn the tables towards a healthier more sustainable Barbados. A chance for us to learn to live longer and stronger.

So join the movement.

💜🌸 HAPPY WORLD MENOPAUSE DAY, LADIES! 🌸💜

Yesterday, at our @bajanfusion FUSION WELLNESS: Move Through Menopause experience, we were reminded of something powerful: the importance of community.

We connected, learned, shared our experiences and realised that we don't have to navigate these changes alone. We also recognised the importance of continuing the conversation, supporting one another and seeking reliable information and professional guidance when needed.

🌸 So today, I encourage you to:
💜 Be kind to yourself and listen to your body.
💜 Ask questions and seek support without fear or shame.
💜 Share your experiences to help another woman feel less alone.
💜 Extend understanding and compassion to the women around you.

Whether you are approaching perimenopause, navigating menopause, living in postmenopause or simply learning so you can support another woman, there is always room to learn, grow and empower one another.

Thank you to every woman who showed up, participated and shared during our Fusion Wellness experience.

Thank you @fairmontroyalpavilion for your outstanding hospitality, continued support and fantastic and tasty breakfast experience.

Thank you @hrmab246 for collaborating with us in raising awareness.

Thank you to @mindfulmovement246 for your engaging and informative conversation.

Thank you team @bajanfusion for trusting me and helping me create a beautifully curated experience for women.

Let's keep this conversation going beyond one day and one event!

Interested in joining our Women's Wellness Whatsapp Community 💫🧠💪🏾. Message (246) 284-5426 and we will add you to the group.

We are stronger when we connect. We are empowered when we learn. And we thrive when we support one another. 🤝🏾💜🌸

🌸💜 Happy World Menopause Day🌸💜

Today, let’s break the silence, raise awareness and remind every woman that you are not alone! 💕

Menopause is a natural stage of life, but every woman’s journey is different. Your experiences matter, your questions matter, and you deserve to feel informed, heard and supported.

Yesterday, at our Bajan Fusion Fusion Wellness: Move Through Menopause experience, we connected, learned and shared, reminding ourselves of the power of community. 🤗

Let’s keep the conversation going, support one another and remember that we don’t have to navigate this journey alone!

We are stronger when we connect. We are empowered when we learn. And we thrive when we support one another. 💜

Chronic pain is one of the less talked about experiences of menopause, yet it affects many women at midlife.
