come along with loser club head @emily.bowden on their unusually busy day! featuring, most notably, OUR @lambethfringe TECH REHEARSAL!!!!! had a workshop/interview in Ealing so made the trek from South London! I was a villain in Oxford circus I can’t even lie love to take photos of cool art DUH! right outside the Lizzie line at bond street went to @questors_theatre for the first time which was Lovely! speaks for itself fun fact I am both quite claustrophobic and also a multitasking legend so my most productive work happens when trying to distract myself on public transit lol hauled back to Brixton for tech at @centralfilmschool !! director @alexane.roger & tech operator @cashewobsession working hard it was a lot of this. we moved that table a few millimeters about 8 million times fun fact: when designing the props we knew it would need to be adaptable to different spaces , so that it had enough slack to move but not so much that it wasn’t cumbersome. the solution we came up with was some old clothes cut into strips and tied together. This production is fantastic. 90min of something else. 🫰🏿🫰🏽 We had one of the very BEST post show discussions with the Artistic Director, Director & the Cast. They shared the difficulty, their journey to this story, their reasons they were interested in this show, BTS & so much more🫶🏿This Cast is perfect for any era. Moving through time with characters the entire time is not easy AT ALL, but they make it look so easy. LOVE this Cast(& it's Crew😘). Tapping into truth in #Philly is scratching the surface of America. ✊🏿🫰🏽🫶🏾🫶🏿 This show has been EXTENDED, until June 21. Seng's Hair Salon was just what Philly Theater needed. When you tell a story from an authentic place & people show up.....🫶🏿🫶🏾. We attended the closing of Saymoukda Duangphouxay Vongsay 'Seng's Hair Salon' at @interacttheatreco This was the last show in their season & the 2nd in their 3part Philly Cycle Series. This show was/is so beautiful. When you see true representation telling human stories you can't help but lean in. We became new fans this season of Jungwoong Kim & Bi Jean Ngo & they did not disappoint🫶🏾🙏🏾🫶🏿 Discovering Ms Lydia Gaston, Daniel Union, Joanna Liao & Karen Li was such a pleasure & uplifting. What a gifted Cast. The choreography was 🔥🔥 We got a lot of LOVE for this Cast! The community outreach & partnerships over the last year was amazing & it showed what it meant to bring honor to a community that is not properly represented in many spaces but especially in Theater. Seng's Hair Salon is now Interact's HIGHEST selling show to date. Outstanding!! While this show has closed on this stage, there is always life in other spaces & places.
