Growth is rarely a solo journey.

We may come to learn about movement, but we stay because of the people we meet along the way.

Every question shared.
Every story told.
Every word of encouragement.

We don’t just learn from the teacher — we learn from one another.

When one person grows, everyone grows.

That’s the beauty of learning together.

Healing is shared.
Growth is contagious.
And together, we become stronger, wiser, and more present. 😍

Strong movement starts from the ground up.

In Pilates, your feet and ankles are your foundation. When they move with strength, stability, and mobility, everything above them : your knee and hips to your core, can work more efficiently.

Sometimes, improving the smallest joint creates the biggest difference in how your entire body moves.

Have you tested your mobility yet?

One of my favourite ways to teach proper core engagement is through the image of an elevator shaft inside your body.

Imagine your core as the shaft of an elevator.
First, gently close the elevator doors from the inside of your body, creating support and connection through your centre without gripping or tensing excessively.

Then, as you exhale, imagine the elevator slowly travelling upward, lifting layer by layer through your core:

1st floor: Pelvic floor
2nd floor: Lower abdominals
3rd floor: Mid abdominals
4th floor: Upper abdominals, where you softly draw the ribs downward.

The lift is subtle, controlled, and fluid.
Not a forceful brace, but a gentle upward support system that activates from the bottom up during your exhale.

Instead of sucking in your stomach, think of creating length, lift, and deep internal support from within, almost like you’re wearing a corset.

Don’t get it? Ask me more or come to us @balanced_movement_my !

Come hang out with me at the studio. ✨

I’ll guide you through an amazing Pilates session, remind you to breathe when you forget, and casually make your legs shake in ways you didn’t know were possible. Don’t worry, I’ll be encouraging the whole time, surely 🫣

You’ll leave feeling stronger, taller, and oddly proud of muscles you never knew existed. And somewhere between the burn, the laughter, and the post-class “why am I sweating this much?” moment, you might just fall in love with moving your body again.

So come hang out with me at the studio, where we strengthen, laugh, and occasionally question your life choices having me as your instructor. 🤍

There came a point in my life when I realized that constantly pouring my energy into people, situations, and expectations that left me feeling drained was costing my peace.

Choosing myself wasn’t about becoming selfish but realising if I don’t choose myself, who is going to choose me? 😊

It was about understanding that my well-being deserved to be a priority too. I learned to set boundaries without guilt, to walk away from what no longer aligned with me, and to invest my time in things that made me feel stronger, calmer, and more connected to who I am from the within.

Because, the is no greater love than the one that you give to yourself ♥️

So yes, sorry I am busy. 🫣

Something I always teach my clients is : Through Pilates, you will learn that strength isn’t about pushing harder. Sometimes it’s about slowing down, showing up and staying with yourself ♥️

She’s 72 and still choosing to move. Not because it’s easy but because it’s important to her.

I always check in, making sure she’s comfortable, making sure it’s safe. She always tells me she’s okay. That it feels good.

So I meet her where she is. A quiet practice that honours her body, her age, and her unwavering will to keep moving. Simple joint mobility. No rush, no force. Just steady care, respect for her body, and a deep trust in what movement can still offer.

Her presence is a reminder that movement isn’t about age. It’s about care, choice, and most importantly continuity.

Now tell me, am I not the luckiest person to be the one who gets to help her move?

People think teaching is only about correcting form and counting reps.

But most days, it’s about holding space while someone relearns how to listen to their body.

From an instructor point of view, no two bodies moves the same, yet, every one hour, everyone shares the same intention : TO BE PRESENT.

Repetition teaches what words can’t.
The more I move, the more my body remembers 😊

How to breathe through resistance?
How to lengthen through control?
How to find calm in precision?

Every session feels the same, yet never truly is.
That’s the quiet beauty of Pilates, the body keeps learning,
long after the movement ends.
