I’ve been thinking about how my pre and postnatal YTT always seems to be a doorway into something far bigger than is anticipated because learning to hold space for women through one of the biggest transformations in her life is not casual work.

Learning how to support a changing body, yes, but also a changing identity, nervous system, sense of self, relationship to rest, strength, boundaries, and to their own body. Sometimes the movement is actually secondary.

I feel very fortunate to spend my time teaching this, and especially grateful for the women who came together for these four days with such openness, curiosity and generosity. I have the best ‘colleagues’ 🥹

My third pre and postnatal training here at @nest.glasgow and always always a lovely one ❤️❤️

how i’m spending my summer in and around glasgow! more details in the next captions >>>
#glasgow

spent a sunday afternoon doing yoga, journaling, painting and meditating at a mini retreat hosted by @balancedwithrosi and @emmasedilife at @theweeretreat. this was such a special few hours!! i do a lot of yoga and mindfulness stuff at home but this really hit different - getting to spend 4 hours focused on connecting with my body meant the effects were so much deeper and it helped a lot with my mental state. i’ve been feeling super stagnant and stressed out recently and this was the turning point i needed❤️ the wee retreat is near queen’s park and they do quite a few workshops like this! tysm to emma and rosi for inviting me 💞

we only found this out on the day but there are loads of @rideember buses going from glasgow to the highlands that stop right at the start point of a lot of hikes around loch lomond. it’s around £8 each way, 1hr 15 mins and so much more convenient than the train. we got off at inveruglas power station which is also the starting point for ben vane (which tbh is a much easier and more fun walk than ben vorlich)

one thing about me is i am a victoria park stan i think it’s one of the best parks in glasgow! there’s a wee cafe that sells bird food for £1 and the ducklings are so cute rn x

can’t believe i’ve been sleeping on @dumpling_monkey for so long!! this massive portion of braised tofu and chow mein cost only £6.50 and in under 10 mins you can be sitting by the kelvin river having dinner with a view

under an hour away from glasgow by train AND it’s heated

khao sawy u will always be famous

have u guys seen there’s cans of tennents tops now? not sure how i feel about it, kinda like that it was a beer garden exclusive?

the ultimate weekend market & the ultimate noodles!

@theshucklebrothers do pop ups around the city and as an oyster stan i’m always keeping tabs on em

top tier sandwiches in merchant city, also a great place to pop into if you’re going to the barras

BEST NEW COFFEE SHOP 2026

After a heavy, hectic but very fun Saturday service during Glasgow Coffee Festival last weekend, we opened our phones to find ourselves listed alongside 50 others in The Best Coffee Shops UK 2026 list. Incredible to see such strong Scottish representation on the list; friends we’ve visited and plenty on our wishlist. Thank you all for your votes to help us get there 🙏

What's more, we were absolutely blown away to see ‘Through the House’ beside a special recognition award for the ‘Best New Coffee Shop 2026’ 🤯

‘For demonstrating excellence across the TBCS-UK 2026 criteria, public reviews, social media presence (lol), and engagement within the UK coffee scene’

Truly thankful for all the support we’ve received from friends, family, collaborators and all of you who come through the door. Shout-out to our incredible team members Amy and Zerina who've been nothing short of superb since they've come on-board.

With your continuous support, we promise to keep delivering on our manifesto of (great) COFFEE / MUSIC / GOOD TIMES 🫡
