Seventeen years sober today. It’s hard to put into words what this milestone means—sobriety is so deeply a part of me now. Seventeen years without blacking out, without falling through on commitments, and without hurting everyone around me.

To be honest, I find the person I used to be embarrassing. Still, I choose to celebrate and share my story—not only to remind myself of what drugs and alcohol could have taken from me, but also to help normalize conversations around mental health.

New chapter, new lifestyle, new look.

@balayage_boulder is insanely talented and facilitated the external expression of an insane internal metamorphosis I’m undergoing 🦋

Can’t recommend her more. ❤️
