NOW ON SALE...
BALLET D'JERRI: CARTE BLANCHE
What happens when you give a company of professional dancers complete creative freedom? Carte Blanche is @balletjersey's annual choreographic workshop, where the dancers step out of line and into the director’s chair. They present their own original works developed in-house; bold ideas, personal stories, experiments, risks, and occasionally the beautifully unexpected.

For audiences, Carte Blanche offers something different: a glimpse into the unfiltered personality and the sometimes-messy creative engine of the artists that make up the company. You may discover a future main-stage choreographer before anyone else does.

Suitable for 18 years +
FRIDAY 9 + SATURDAY 10 OCTOBER 7.30PM

What a weekend of performances we’ve just had! ✨

We’re still smiling after an unforgettable few days, and we’re so excited to share this wonderful review from Friday evening’s wedding.

It was an absolute honour to perform for the wedding of world-renowned composer @charlesmauleverer and Helen Noble, Director a @balletjersey . To say we were surrounded by some of the most talented, creative and inspiring people is an understatement. It was a privilege to be part of such a spectacular celebration, and yes… we definitely felt the pressure to deliver!

From managing every aspect of the technical production, to performing live during the ceremony, and then filling the dance floor all night long with our incredible headline band, The Jessica Lloyd Band, it was a day we’ll never forget.

Receiving reviews like this means the world to us. Thank you, Charlie & Helen, for trusting us to be such a special part of your day. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness together. ❤️

Ballet & Beach

A dreamy combo, two worlds which don’t normally collide, and we love the concept.

Fiery sunsets out west, dreamy landscapes, surfers catching waves, plane spotting. Got inspired by the theme and reimagined the event promo.

Pop along to this free creative community event organised by @balletjersey and check out the full itinerary for the evening.

The weather is looking promising and we’re in for a beautiful sunset 🌅 Why not pop to the @watersplashjersey after 🪩

(Disclaimer: Ballerina isn’t part of the Ballet d’Jerri)

Our mini-series following former @lesballetsdemontecarlo dancer @asieredeso wraps up as we prepare for Friday’s performance @ubumuntu.artsfestival in Kigali, Rwanda. Asier, joined by professional dancer @ombline_noyer of @balletjersey , have worked with the MindLeaps students to create an original work entitled “Igiti” (“Tree” in Kinyarwanda). Hear some final reflections about the artistic process, Rwanda as a country, and MindLeaps’ approach to dance education.

What does the future of philanthropy in Jersey look like?

Today we brought together people from across Jersey’s charity sector, Government, business and the philanthropic community to start shaping a shared vision for the future of giving on our Island.

Together we explored how we can:
- Build stronger partnerships
-Grow Jersey’s culture of giving
-Encourage innovation
-Increase long-term impact -Work more collaboratively to tackle the Island’s biggest challenges

One theme emerged again and again: Jersey has the passion, expertise and generosity. By working together, we can achieve even more.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, shared their ideas and helped make the morning such a success. And thank you to the team at @societejersiaise for hosting us in their beautiful Members’ Room.

This is just the beginning of the conversation, and we’re excited about what comes next.

Our journey continues with @asieredeso , Basque choreographer and former dancer with @lesballetsdemontecarlo . Over the last week, Asier has continued to work with 16 MindLeaps students to create an original work for @ubumuntu.artsfestival . He’s also learned more about the country through visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial Museum and has spent time with our students and their mothers while visiting their homes in Nyamirambo.
