Surprise! I’ve officially decided to transfer to Ball State University to pursue my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education! ✏️
I will be doing the online degree program:)
This was a total last-minute pivot—I actually sent in my application just a week before graduating from Ivy Tech. For a long time, I thought I was finished after my Associates Degree, but after a lot of thought and prayer, I realized I’m not done yet. What’s two more years, right?❤️ #bsu

EDEL 102 students visited the Rinard Orchid Greenhouse this week, to continue their work in designing curriculum around orchids for first graders. Students completed a sample assignment they could present to future elementary students, researching and coloring an orchid. Then, they took a field trip to the Greenhouse to learn how we schedule, plan, and facilitate our visits from local schools. Here are the winning orchid coloring sheets from each section! @ballstatetc

2026 Indiana Teacher of the Year.

That's where Megan Johnson's Ball State journey led.
Today, she's making an impact in the classroom, and she's one of many alumni doing the same across industries and communities.

When you ask what set them on that path, one answer comes up again and again: Because of Ball State. 👌

One Ball State Day makes stories like Megan's possible by supporting today's students with scholarships, hands-on learning, and the resources they need to succeed. ❤️

Join us April 1 for One Ball State Day and help create what's next:

It felt a little uncomfortable to share this… like maybe it’s something you’re just supposed to quietly do. But if it encourages even one person…it feels worth it. ;)

We were included in the Ball State magazine after our Miltenberger family started a small military scholarship fund, which still feels a bit weird/surreal 🙂

Just really grateful God has lets us give back to the college that shaped us.

What’s something you give back to …. Or feel called to give back to? I’d love to hear! 💗

Education is where Ball State’s story began 🍎

Before becoming the dynamic, multifaceted university we know today, Ball State University was founded as a Teachers College—a legacy that continues to shape its excellence 🔴⚪️

Today, the Teachers College stands as one of Indiana’s best, offering 11 major and 15 minor programs across 6 departments. Students gain real-world classroom experience as early as their freshman year, preparing to make a lasting impact in education and beyond 📚
