@womeninmusicaus 2025 is a beautiful reminder that there are so many powerful women working in this industry. We sometime forget how powerful a room filled with women can be.

The amount of First Nations Women that filled the room and the stage was beyond imaginable 😍✨

Highlights included :
• Honouring the Great Aunty Ruby Hunter
• Seeing my sis @dizzydoolan rocking earring made by meeeee @dutti.djarra 😍
• @balyaproductions taking home the trophy
• Aunty @shelliemorrismusic lighting up the room every 👏🏾 damn 👏🏾time
• Watching all the Aunties from Boorooloola own the stage
• @babyshakes_dillon giving us all the baby shakes ✨
• My incredible love @kaylahtruth right by my side looking like a cutie 😍

Extremely blessed to be able to have Latisha Ackland with us last week to speak to our students about being a black woman in a male dominated production industry.

Truly inspiring and we wish you the best of luck with your business moving forward Letisha! 🤩

Last weekend was one of the greatest travel experiences of my life. I spent the weekend with some of the most amazing people doing the most incredible things within their own communities and then for everyone to come together to celebrate our people and our gifts is by far one of the most incredibly fulfilling experiences. I couldn’t believe how much was going on and how many things lined up perfectly ft @darwinartfair @indigenousfashionprojects @the.nimas @awesomeblackorg

I want to give all the thanks to @balyaproductions for giving me the opportunity to experience @the.nimas in a way others may never. Seeing how hard the team worked behind-the-scenes under so much pressure I will never go to a concert or an event again and never think about the people behind the curtains making it happen. Your team are some of the most hard-working people I’ve been able to spend some time working with.

I’m always nervous before taking photos at live events because you can never plan what’s going to happen in real time but I think I need to start giving myself more credit. Artists full stop should give ourselves more credit. Be proud of things you’re working on, be proud of the work your creating while trying to master your craft.

Spending time with some of my favourite people, some of my oldest friends and creating new ones makes it all worthwhile. Just wanted to thank everyone on here who spent time with me last weekend. I appreciate you.
