That right there is what the @bam.basketball program is all about. 🏀✨

This week, our scholars dove deep into the virtue of ACCOUNTABILITY. It starts in the classroom with real, honest discussions about daily life, thoughtful journaling, and holding a safe space for one another. Then, the lessons follow us right out to the court—where teamwork, drills, and high-energy fun bring those life skills to life.

Coach BAM speaks so much wisdom and life into our scholars every single week, and we are beyond lucky to have him shaping these young minds on and off the court. 🙌🏽

Everyday is a new page turn, every year is a new chapter.

I don’t have everything I want, and I haven’t accomplished all the goals I set out for myself, but one thing I can say is, I have everything I NEED. I’m so damn Fortunate.

Every year on this day (my solar return day) I conjure up my thoughts into a little journal entry for me and others to come back to and hopefully feel inspired. This year I want to do something different. I want to point to my community and let some cool ass pics of dope ass people who are part of my journey be part of my light.

I have a community that I pour into, and that community pours right back into me. That’s so damn amazing. I’m nurturing my purpose, and when you’re in the thick of it, the impact doesn’t always feel real. But when I step back and see the community holding up that purpose, I realize it’s happening, and that fills my cup. What’s even more impactful? The way my community shows up for my kids and I don’t take that for granted! Don’t slow down on the love, because I’m nots. Keep loving on the kids!
