POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

As we all know it is really tough on the high street at the moment. Businesses are struggling and some are closing but the high street is still here filled with indie businesses waiting to serve you and brighten up your day!

We are surrounded by the media constantly telling us the high street is dead. They've been pushing that head line for as long as I can remember and now things are getting tougher they really want to hammer home that the high street is gone, but it's not!

Just this past week alone I've seen two small businesses in Notts open on the high street who are ready to open their doors and welcome you in.

I've also seen lots of success stories of small businesses who are growing and thriving and bringing their customers with them on their journey.

We need to celebrate these successes and inspire and help other small businesses to grow too!

I've said it so many times but I'll say it again. Your high street is yours! You can influence what thrives in your area, you just need to show up! Vote with your money, vote with your voice by telling your friends, vote online by sharing and commenting.

So get out there and discover what's new on your high street. The indies are coming and we are going to rebuild the high street!!

I've tagged a bunch of bricks and mortar shops from across the UK (as many as insta allows) who are absolutely smashing it and bringing that extra sparkle to the high street. Feel free to tag your fave shops below and spread the word!

Learn To Knit at BAM Store + Space

🧶 Never knit before in your life? Or want a refresher of the basics? This is the workshop for you.

🧶 In this two hour class, you will learn the 3 basic skills you need to know to learn to knit: casting on, knit stitch and casting off. With these skills under your belt, you will be fully equipped to start creating a variety of knitting projects at home.

🧶 If you find you pick up the stitches easily, we can progress to purl stitch, combination stitches, decreases and increases, but there is no pressure or expectation either way.

🧶 You will be provided with knitting needles, a ball of yarn and a knitting pattern to practise which you can take home at the end of class. You will also take with you a printed step by step How To Knit tutorial booklet with all the stitches you would have learned during the class and more for you to explore after.

🧶 Held in the colourful @bambristol in Easton on Sunday 26th March. Tickets are just £30 and available via the BAM website. It would be great to see you there!
