Turning bare, blighted walls into community landmarks!
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Speaking of the Golden State and special moments… 👀💙💛

I’m honored to be one of the artists selected for the “ @waymo × @warriors ” vehicle design competition! In partnership with the @bamp 🎨

This design is my love letter to the Bay; rooted in community, growth, movement, and the endless possibilities of what we can create together.

The bridge represents connection.
The water represents flow and transformation.
The butterflies represent growth and becoming.
The hands lifting one another up represent the power of collective support!

And that portal arc opening into the clouds? A doorway into possibility. It’s a reminder that there is no ceiling on what we can achieve when we’re willing to imagine beyond what we’ve already known. ☁️🦋

Which feels especially full circle… because now I need my community to help me take this one across the finish line.

🗳️ You can vote for my design once every day.*

So if you believe in my work, if you’ve been watching me build, create, fall, rise, reinvent and keep going — I’m asking you to show up for me.

Vote today. Come back tomorrow. Send it to a friend. Voting ends October 11th!

Let’s see what happens when we put some real Golden State community behind this one. 💙💛

✨Public Art Program Project Highlight✨

This week’s Public Art for Private Development highlight features a mural series at The Phoenix, developed by East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation (EBALDC), located at 811 Pine Street in West Oakland. The works include “Pullman Porters: Carrying a Nation” by Timothy Bluitt, “Rise of the Phoenix” by Zoë Boston, and their collaborative piece “Phoenix Feather”. Together, these murals honor the legacy of the Pullman Porters and their role in labor organizing, community building, and the movement for civil rights. The phoenix imagery reflects themes of resilience and renewal that continue to shape West Oakland’s spirit.
